I hate it and it's not even here yet.

I froze my ass off on my bike today. I want 25 degree days, a girl 2up, and a patio beer.

Fuck this city.

Its way warmer out then it has been. I wear sweats over my jeans and the liner from my winter jacket under my leather and have been relatively toasty warm.

I walked outside for the first time today at about 11:10am to walk my dog.

Then, I wept.

I wept because my bike is sitting on stands.
I wept because the battery is out, on a tender.
I wept mostly because it is kept in someone else's garage, who's in BC at the moment, thus I can't even throw the battery back in and drop it off the stands.

However, I'm sure within 2 hours of me doing that, the weather would turn to shit again anyway.

So, remember that my not riding is allowing some warmer then average riding for the rest of you.

And I wept.

Yes, I'm totally emo.

hahah keener newbie riders are too funny... I don't ride in any hotter than 28 or any cooler than 18 or so :)

The only caveat is racing.

And it's away... battery's out, all the CF is off, wheels are off, on stands in the garage.

I'll be out on the track next year... And I don't find riding around in 10 degree weather that cold. Above 25 it's deadly hot though...

If 25 degrees is too hot for you... You're not going fast enough.

Just squid it up a little...

After all, leather jackets are cheap, skin grows back.

*Runs out to garage to check*

*Runs back in to grab battery*

I'm at 15875 kms on it right now. Bought it at 8783.

So 7092 kms. But I bought my bike June 25th and missed out on a few months of riding (late April, May and June).

Over 10,000 next year for sure.

Ugh... I think I did 4000km's last year, and 3000km's this year... I'm not riding nearly as much as I would like...

Anywhere, in any weather, eh Ryan?

I had electrical issues for a lot of the summer. Was quite the piss off. Forced me to only take shorter trips. That and working / wedding - I didn't get many days off that I could just take off for hours on end.

Sorted out the electrical issue by mid august, and thats when most of the riding was done.

Next year, hopefully will involve a cruiser and some longer rides. Semi-planning for a trip home (Vancouver). Another possibility is a race bike. It'll depend on a few things, one of which finding a new job that allows a weekend off like normal people (ie: when Stratotech hosts track days).

Cruiser as a daily rider for sure though. Just have to figure out what one to buy....

Anyone know where I can get an HD FXDX????

Actually, most of my riding was done on nice days, in nice weather. I only got caught in the rain a few times and anything in the snow was done on purpose. I did have the benefit of being unemployed most of the summer with nothing better to do then get seat time on it.

Is your sissy bar quick release?

No. No I can't say that it is. It's the OEM $500 Kawasaki backrest. Truth be told... It's REALLY not a big deal to take on and off... 4 bolts. It took me about 15 seconds to install it.

Hmmm.....

You want a sportbike and the difference in cash????

Dude... You know I don't fit on sport bikes.

While I admit, trying to ride them has been fun, I would never own one.

It was worth a try. You could have had a quick lapse in judgment and agreed...

Considering I spent most of June doing renovations, July splitting my time between family, work, and Blue Line, I think I still managed to put on about 2000 km between the two motorcycles.

Most of it was riding to work however :dunno:

And I did put the motorcycles away near the end of September

My wife did about 300 km... But she is still only riding with me on our evening rides and doesn't do much on the highway.

Which bike do you like to ride more Keane?... And, Why?
