View Full Version : If you could have 4 motorcycles?

EDISKRAD EHT

Why 4? Well no bike does everything 'that' well, so 4 would be the best # to have IMO.

Even though,

"n + 1 = The final formula for the exact amount of motorycles you need to have.

Where n is the amount of motorcycles you currently have."

For me? I'd probably stick with close to what I have. I didn't really do a fantasy list. I did what I very well feel could be a reality, and I'd be quite happy with.

First of all, I respect fully disagree...

The correct forumal is:

"n + x = The final formula for the exact amount of motorycles you need to have.

Where "x" is the amount of motorcycles you currently don't have."

I've ridden a destroyer on the dyno at full pin. Fuck are they cool.

For bar hopping around

1.rigid shovelhead, with a 4 speed, dual magneto's and dual plug heads, super rad hand built shit. (Kind of my dream version of my current shovelhead rigid)

2.1993 FXR with a twincam drivetrain, stripped down, no bullshit minimal approach, for wreaking havoc on the streets

3. Buell something or other stripped down and awesome. Maybe use it for the track?theres probably a more practical jap bike that would do better, but I'll stick to the theme as far as that goes.

4. A 450cc 4 stroke dirtbike. I've been told that Hondas are te most reliable for their 4 stroke engines.. I have next to no experience. Lol.

Sorry my post lacks pictures.

Dirt: Kx450

oh boy, this is going to be tough. I can think of at least 2 ideal bikes for any given riding purpose... soooooooo here goes

TRAVEL BIKE: BMW GS1200 Adventure

http://www.bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/sites/bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/files/images/2014-BMW-R-1200-GS-Adventure-side-view.jpeg

DIRT BIKE: Suzuki RMZ-250

http://cdn.motocross.transworld.net/wp-content/blogs.dir/441/files/2013/09/EI9R0219.jpg

STREET BRUISER/DRAG SLUT: Early 80's GS750 with an 1100 motor punched out to 139X, back cut gears, 200 rear tire and the good ol 4-1 V&H drag pipe that makes it nearly impossible to turn right

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y298/johnny_wolf/untitled-4.jpg

Fun city/weekender/DD: Triumph Scrambler With the arrow exhaust of course hahaha. This category is nearly impossible for me, its the most important for me and there are so many great bikes for it. I chose this damn thing because it can wheelie, stoppie, smash some gravel, hop curbs, sounds great and looks even better.

This was one that I'm still not 100% if I'd choose over the Victory or not. It was so close to a tie, and still pretty well is.

Edit: Looks like I need 5 bikes now.

I have that problem in the city bike weekender category with the FZ 09. I like the GS because its truly universal, and actually comfortable over a distance, heated grips and seat and all that shit can be had. And i like gravel and fire roads... I aint taking no big ass 700lb cruiser up a forestry road hahaha

Ooh oh, I wanna play.

Street: MV Agusta F3 Oro Edition. By far, and I mean not a chance in hell, is there a sexier bike on the market right now.
http://itsallstyletome.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Agusta_F3_Oro_2013.jpg

Track: Yamaha R6. Reliable, fast, tons of aftermarket, won't break the bank if you scuff a fender.
http://images.motorcycle-usa.com/PhotoGallerys/project_r6_willow-6.jpg

Dirt: Yamaha YZ450F. Best 450 motor in my opinion.

I notice a few people have now posted up the VFR as a bike they'd like to own. If ANYONE is seriously interested, mine is available to test drive and possible for sale. I've been toying with the idea of getting rid of it and going to a cruiser for awhile now. Just haven't had the right offer/deal come across the table. It's a 2003 VFR800ABS. Not much for mods. Replaced the ugly amber signals with the 2010 clear ones. Got hit by a truck last summer (asshole put it in reverse in traffic). Only damage was cosmetic so EVERY plastic has been replaced and it doesn't so much as have a rock chip in it. Laid it down a few years back leaving UC so it's got new levers too! I just don't know if I could part with it yet. It's been SUCH a well balanced machine for me and suits my riding needs to a T. It's also got the factory hard bags which are AWESOME for the weekend getaways! We'll see I guess!

k1600, s1000rr, r6, and r1200gs

I cant find a spot for my Ducati Sport Classic though. maybe swap out for the k1600. yeah. when im old, swap out r6 for the k1600.

heavy cruiser with all the bells and whistles, go fast/touring bike for BC etc, track bike, and adventure touring bike.

IF for some reason something happens to a leg/both legs or im just plain old feble, I would be swapping whatever out for a can am so I can still tour.
