I know there are a few turbo miatas and veedubs, I cna't think of any turbo Hondas except for that pro drag white civic, anyone else?

way back in the summer a friend told me about a turbo'd GSR in edmonton. i don't know if its true or not because i've never seen it. there is a white SC'd prelude in the edmonton/calgary area. don't know. lots of edmonton/calgary guys hang out at these boards:

Heck no, the Turbo GSR was based in Calgary. I don't knwo who he is, but I've also seen his car in Readers rides in SCC once awhile back.

I have yet to EZ put out anything fast.

I won't know the power output until (if) I redyno it (pretty hard to dyno now with AWD), but it should be between 700-800hp.

Anyway, I've got a turbo coming. Ordered and paided for, will be in in about 4 weeks for California. The car should be fun to drive after that.

Going to start autoX this summer, probably with the miata club, until me and my friends get the Honda club going.

A lot of work will be done to my car in the next 5 weeks. Can't wait: turbo, necessary gauages, controllers, and better brakes. Where about are you?

I'm in the fine tuning and sorting out the little reliability things. I cracked my old manifold last year because it was warping so badly.

I think I have a pretty good combination, I just have to find the time to narrow it down.

Yeah. That White Supercharged Prelude is from Calgary. You maen the one that was at Powerama?? And in Superstreet or Sport Compact (can't remember which one). Yeah, Jackson Racing Supercharger in there along with a few other toys. Tells me he will be pushing 300 to the wheels after his second tuning, which should be sometime this week. I finally got my AEM EMS today. But I gotta install colder plugs, and an ignition system before I start tuning. I'll probably go with a MSD 6AL Ignition system, it's so widely use it can't be all that bad, right?

As soon as that stuff is in, I'll start playing with the AEM system. I hope my car won't be dead in the garage for the rest of the summer. :wacko:

I have a 6AL and I think they are great!. Be sure to get a coilpak with that too.

I bought mine at Warehouse Services on the southside. Ask for Scott, I only deal with him.

I got it for about 2k$ from Toby at Racing Zone. But it was more than 2 weeks late. I wasn't too happy about that.

Well, unfortunately, since Sept. 11, shipping from the US has slowed to a crawl.

If you got your intake 2 weeks late, consider yourself lucky you didn't have to wait longer. :(

I will most likely plug the AEM in this weekend. I'll let you know if I had to use the fire extinguisher. :)

That's a pretty good price - when I was asking they were about $1300 US. So $2000 a good deal (if thats Canadian!)

I'm having an MSD ignition with coil pack, and colder plugs installed as we speak in preparation for the AEM install tomorrow.

I have to take out my spreaker to access the ecu. :angry:

And I just got the interior done yesterday. Looks pretty good.

Damn this car is costing me money.

For 4 years I've been purposely avoiding the final tally of the "investment" I've put in to the car.

Now that it's done, when I first started, there was no way I even dreamt I'd spend this much money to get started. :)

AEM EMS is finally in. The software is overwhelming. Way too much stuff in there, and it's all acronyms. I have no clue what most of it means. :blink: :blink:

But the car starts ok (it cranks longer than stock, but it's not bad). It idles pretty good, but way too rich.

Now I need to find to get the exhaust out of my garage efficiently before I poison myself to death. :)

I spent a few more hours playing with the EMS...

I thought I knew pretty much the basics of engine theory. But I'm realizing I know about 5% of what I should know to be able to tune this thing.

If anyone wants to spend some time playing with an AEM EMs and a turbo lude, I'll be happy to get help. Maybe we can make this a group effort? B)

There must be 10 different parameters I have to fiddle with just for the engine cranking part. And it seems there's always 5 different ways to accomplish the same thing.

For someone who understands every parameters in that software, and how they works and interact, this is the ultimate tool. You can truly do anything and everything with this system. But I'm still a long way from there. :(

I know what you mean Manhunter. I spent hours on my link and still eblieve tehre is a lot of power to be unlocked - unlocking is the tough part!

Are there AEM resources/forums on the web? Without mine, I would be completely lost.

(DynoJet values expected - 530.5 - 550.1 whp & 433.5 - 449.6 ft-lbs torque)
(Flywheel expected values - >650 hp & 550ft-lbs torque)

Best E.T. = 12.3 @ 109mph

Both runs were at 17psi & 3700feet (full interior)

Vehicle is in show condition, and runs better than the day it was built. Featured in Performance Auto & Sound mag, and soon to be seen in Super Street Mag. Over $50000 invested. Chassis has 80,000miles (130,000km) on it, while the fully built motor has ~1000miles (1500km) on it.

Traction will put the car into the 10's (It currently is not equipped with a LSD) with full interior.
