I generally find that as my age increases, I try not to dip below 6 reps otherwise injury occurs. Feb was a nice reminder of that lol

I used to be able to do 225 for 23 reps. That would be nice to be there again. Now? Haven't been to the gym in 8 months which means I'd start out at Spa Lady for the first 2-3 months.

I need to get back to the gym FML

So far it's working for me. Wife not so much.

    Almost.. almost left the gym.

Ended up taking 3-4 weeks off. Mentally recouped, tried some different things (Crossfit, Jhu Jitsu) and mountain biked a lot more.

Back at it and loving it, felt good to just get out of there for a bit.

Crossfit is what makes me want to leave the gym. Lol. I don't judge, do whatever workout you enjoy. But why is it Crossfitters have to slam stuff around so much? They remind me of the Harley guys from that South Park episode about the word FAG. Do they think making 30 extra decibels makes up for being 30lbs under weight?

    Hahaha.
No I meant she isn't losing weight. Which is frustrating and pissing her off. He's deep into Ketosis vs myself.
I'm down 4x as much weight

I enjoy the different styles, each has their pros and cons. But I do enjoy the cardiovascular aspect for sure - mind you, some of the things are dumb. I'd rather to 10 strict pullups than worm out 100 of them.

For the dropping shit and making noise.. flip side is the guys grunting and screaming it out as they jerk out the weights for a shitty deadlift. There's the idiots in every sport that have to scream - crossfit there just tends to be a few more.

I'm 2 months in, track my macros daily. Have a cheat day every 2 weeks.
    Down 16 lbs so far.
My strength took a shot kicking when I started, but I am just now getting it back and setting new 1RMs.
Curious to see if anyone else has tried
I am doing Keto right now. Bigger calorie deficit though. 1200-1500 cal a day to cut a bunch of weight. Right now I really like it, I am on week 3 and everything is going well except I got the Keto Rash which is Prurigo Pigmentosa. Antibiotics clears it up. Down 10 Lbs 3 weeks in but I workout 5 days a week. Rowing and stair climber for the first half of the cut. (Need to get suit ready for my wedding haha)

As for your wife, how many calories is she consuming? Is she tracking them and has she checked with ketostix?

Did I read that right? A diet gave you a gnarly rash?
