Default Mobile versions of websites. Anyone actually use them?

Can't stand them. Full version for this guy, and I REALLY hate the ones that don't have a "desktop" version for your device, and force you to use the handicapped version.

But everyone has em. So someone must be using them.

    Do you? Why?

I vastly prefer most mobile sites. I can't understand why many have an app, AND a mobile site. Pick mobile! Then it's easier to simply cruise through bookmarks rather than launching a dozen apps.
I'll switch to desktop version if I need to do something complicated.

Lightweight 780 is the only mobile site I liked. I use tapatalk now though.

To be honest any web developer building a modern website that actually can work outside of garbage like word press should be using responsive web design concepts (ie bootstrap). The whole idea of a separate desktop/mobile site is just silly.
