Here... I just did some quick looking.

Order this laptop... both of you... https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...82E16834234297

I realize it's got a 6th-gen processor, BUT, it also has the GTX1070. And for $1900, a laptop with a 1070 is an amazing deal.

Too bad Memory Express is all sold out.
no not his old SSD a new one.

Okay. You can get a decent 250GB M.2 PCI-E SSD for like $150, so that's not a horrible plan.

It just seems silly to no buy a laptop that already has a decent size ssd in it already.

Either way, you're spending the money.

So... Spend $1900+$150 or spend $2050 right of the bat? Know what I mean?

When was that? Wayy back in the day I bought a Dell 9300 spec'd to be an XPS minus the fancy lights for $3300(minus $400 work discount), the next year the wife got an XPS $3900(Minus $400ish work discount) for Frag.. About 6 years ago I bought my Asus G73 from MemX for $1600, on sale from $1900. (I didn't even qualify for the mail in rebate or the accidental damage warranty, 'cause some how it was a US machine, yet sold from MemX Edm North.... :dunno but comparable Dells were pushing $2900+ not counting the XPS or Alienware models.

I paid a lot, but my 9300 I used for 6years, then my neighbor used it for a year (finally recycled it last year). My G73 I used daily for 4 years, I still use it for when I have to travel, and my wife uses it if she's going to visit her family and wants to game while there. So I got a decent amount of use out of them.

You're talking WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY back in the day, when shit was expensive. It all came down a lot a few years ago... But everything is on the rise again now... Because of SSD shortages, LCD shortages, etc. driving up the price. Plus the shitty economy.

2-3 years ago you could buy something really decent for cheap.
