Default City to start enforcing excessive exhaust noise

This could be bad for alot of people that don't deserve it depending on what the ceiling is for "too much noise"

This happens every year around this time, as all the performance cars get out and the bikes start to make their appearances.

I can see their point. But harder to enforce, I back onto 97st on the north side, and 99% of the loud vehicles that drive by are bikes, mostly v twin cruisers. They sound horrible too. Most they may do is enforce that law more. I also font buy the loud pipes saves lives bs from bikers too, the only time I can hear a bike with loud pipes while driving is when the bike is in front of me, if you really believed that, then you would run your pipes so they pointed forward to direct the sound forward. Same effect happens at home, I can hear a bike with pipes coming, but not very loud until it drives by, then its 10x louder.

It'd be hilarious to rig an air horn to go off whenever a cop drives by one these noise photo radar BS setups

I can't see photo noise tickets, how can you prove what vehicle makes the noise on a multi lane road with more than 1 vehicle going past the detector thing? They could assume it was the sports car or truck, but no evidence, unlike photo radar that measures a vehicle it was pointed at, or measured by speed sensors in each lane.
