    Default Summer 2018 Weekly meets?

    So...

Since we are banned from UC on Gateway now, where are weekly meets happening after the May 20 "Season Opener"?

170th Timmy's? O_o I hope not that is one small parking lot.

Please get back to me on this.

P.S. Some moderator help me change my username.

We should do some track meets at Castrol Raceway down in Nisku and just lap round the road course... I'd think that be fun for everyone since everyone would probably rather just drive than talk but I could be wrong.

That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.

Oh, Sorry, I didn't know that but can you let me know how it works if it's not like that.

    Just wondering

The track is booked by various groups (track has been fully booked last few years) - NASCC, CEAG, CSCC, ASA, EMRA, Track Junkies etc. These groups provide event insurance, ambulance, flaggers and instructors. You sign up with one of these groups ahead of time and pay for a scheduled event. Cars will be inspected for safety, run groups are organized by experience, new folks will be assigned an instructor who will be a passenger in your car. New folks may also do lead/follow or parade laps. Depending on the group you may not be driving solo at your first event if they donít feel you are safe. Itís nothing like a Nurburgring tourist day where you show up pay 30 euros and are let loose in your VW Vanogan.

Oh, and despite what you read in the comments section of the Edmonton Journal and other news sites about ďtake that reckless driving to the trackĒ we donít want those idiots on the track with us, thank you very much.
