    Default Bike Crash. Insurance Covers...?

My friend just got taken out on his bike in BC and ICBC only covers a new helmet, not any of the riding gear that was damaged in the accident.
Does anyone know if Alberta insurers typically do the same? It's short work of $1,000 if you start adding up gloves, pants and jacket.

Beats me. I never had collision insurance on my bike, since I figured if I was gonna be in one, the bike being fucked up was gonna be the least of my worries.

It's not collision insurance. The other driver is at fault, my buddy's gear is ruined and ICBC is all "here's a fresh helmet, Bro!"

It would really depend on the insurance policy, my policy includes gear and accessories. I would suggest speaking with your provider if you are not sure. If they don't offer the coverage might be time to look elsewhere.

Sounds like he needs to talk to a lawyer instead of accepting what insurance offers. I thought you never accept first insurance offer
