Default Anyone ever try: Heater Hotter

has anybody used it?? or is this clever snake oil marketed to the frosty regions- i seen it in the JB's flyer this morning and since i have such a short commute in the mornings something like this would be cool if it worked.

http://www.gohtsn.com/article_315.shtml

Design Engineering, Inc’s unique new product, Heater Hotter™, is a performance radiator additive specially formulated to rapidly absorb heat from the engine and transfer it to the cooling system without raising engine temperatures. Accelerating the transfer of heat means 50% faster warm up to help an engine reach normal operating temperature. This insures hot air is available for interior heat on command, even in sub-zero temperatures. A welcome thought for those in cold weather regions.

A friend of mine tossed it into one of his beaters, and it worked pretty good!

I believe the car ran ALOT hotter then it should have though.

To my knowledge it ran at operating temperature, and afterwards ran about 10-20+ degrees higher. I belive an older Geo was the vehicle.

I can't speak from experience, but from the way it is described it doesn't seem like it should work. How can it take heat from one piece of metal & unevenly transfer it to another, it just doesn't seem even remotely possible to me.

Yeah i agree, it actually makes me think it is designed to pull heat out of the engine and absorb into the fluid faster. This is much what i thought redline's water wetter does- but WW is marketed to run your engine cooler by shearing heat quicker from the engine. I have used water wetter on my old rx-7 and it seemed to reduce heat fluctuation's when the car was under extreme conditions.

I would assume the same. Just reporting the results.
