How many Euro guys are there here? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Glenn 328is
I only notice like 5 regularly on the board. I see a lot more people out there.

Are there V8less.com and 780tuners.com cards I can shove on people's cars to get them to contribute to this board?

I must say that Euro cars have their specialities and so do the rest of the other manufacturers but, since I bought my '83 Scirocco, I have been quite pleased with it. The prob is that I am looking for other Euro guys and gals to exchange tips and tricks. I know that there is a few shops or garages that specializes in Euro cars or mostly VWs, but where do the nobodies (like myself) go to meet. I am part of a car club here in Edmonton but, very few of us drive Euros. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks

X-frog
Sorry double transmition of message

sstuner
realy where is everyone???

see them bombing around town all the time but not too many on here

hey x-frog, i think we are in the same club. are you the one with the hair lip so you grow a beard to hide it????

hahahaha x-frog you are too funny.

X-frog
It beats having to carry a lunch pail every where. I use it as storage space.

But realy like everyone is wondering, where is the rest of the Euro people??

sstuner
;)

are you talking about the beard or your hair lip?????

So where do all of you go for parts???

well all 6 of us anyway.

man i whish euroasia was still around, any idea when the new shop that the head mech is opening actually going to be open???

I get my accessories from Concept1 in Calgary through Westside automotive, and service the car at Westside automotive.

sstuner
concept one. any idea on how they are with bmw stuff???

energie
Not sure on BMW stuff, but there is also amimotorsports.com somewhere in Ontario.

X-frog
You guys/girls must have so trick cars...I know about your SSTUNER, it is on the way, and so is mine but at a slower rate. That is cool to see that the group is getting bigger. Thanks for the info all of ya.

sstuner

x-frog i worship your beard................

is micheal jackson hiding out in your beard while he is waiting to go to trial?????

hahaha

man am i funny

hey where does everyone hang out??

used to go to soda jerks but they are closed now. which sucks ass.

we need to find a sweet spot just for the euro crew and if one of them other people show up we can ignore them and when they arent looking we can point and laugh as we make fun of them. oh yeah.

x-frog knows what i am talking about. yah you do dont deny it

X-frog
It be sweet if there is such a spot. Cause this way of communicating is good but when you meet the other party face to face it is better. So any one knows such of a spot ?

sstuner
x-frog is right.

hey we could all meet in his beard.

its a good thing x-frog and i work together if we didnt i would the biggest ass around.

hey there is that party at playdium on the 19th for all the 780 crew. we could go there and point and laugh at the rice burners hahahaha

X-frog
Hey SSTUNER, I personnaly wouldn't laugh to much, cause most of the other people out there do have sweet rides -_- . In the state that my car is and you have seen it, I need all the help that I can get from everyone. Plus I ain't no mech or tech. I have to make time for my two projects. That is the Scirocco and the Ranger a.k.a. Power Ranger. You were a great help for that one and thanks again. But I still need to find parts for the Rocco and I'd like to stay local as much has possible so that I can inspect the parts before buying. Best of luck for all those that are working on their rides to get them ready for warmer days.

Z3r03rr0r
you may also want to check out airriders if your a dub owner, there is lots of informative guys on there.
and crystal what are you looking at getting?

X-frog
I was thinking about the 2.0 16V with maybe a G-Lader supercharger but, at this time I can't afford the engine nor the replacement parts (i.e. new gaskets, plugs, belts,ect...). So I am trying to get as much as possible out of this one. I still have to get it safetied. Lot of work but, this is what happens when you buy a car for $600.00. In no way do I regret the purchase, it's the time that I do not have to spend on it. Such is life. I have been on the AirRider site but, it seems that I have probs to find what I am looking for. Some of my friends and I have found some sites dealing mostly with the Scirocco and again, most of them are in Europe (which makes sence). Like I said, I will do my best to make this work until funds are available. Thanks you for your info. Hey SSTUNER think you could lend me a hand with the car, anyway I'll see you at work

rage2
Euro trash here :).

I started driving with Japanese cars (87 Integra 91 323), then I went all Euro for a while (Merkur, 944, SLKs). I'm beginning to play around with Japanese cars again... just bought a Civic. Realize how much I miss driving japanese cars... and the aftermarket support is awesome and cheap!

sstuner
rib-it rib-it

lol

hey froggie i will give you a hand.

come see me at work

and bring a coffee

hahahaha

Benny
I drive a 87 GTI w/ 2.0L 16V swap and some goodies under the hood.

Euros Represent!

X-frog
 Well today was an interesting drive to work. The Scirocco was all over the road. Get this, on the way to work driving at a snail pace, this huge thing drives by, creating white out condition. When I started to see again, I noticed left side road markers were pretty close to my side. Thank whoever you believe in that there was no one behind him/her. I guess it is time for me to bring the car in the shop and get the work or some of the work it requires. This little pearl, I want to keep it. I'll leave it original (somewhat) and be able to drive it (during nice wheater) as much as possible (that is if health holds) and as long as possible. Winter SUCKS.

Glenn 328is
Invest in some Nokians or some Pilot Alpins. You won't be sliding around.

X-frog
Thanks for the info. My budget is like the medical budget from the Federal, There's just ain't none. I guess that I will have to commute more often with my LOVELY WIFE (point scoring, also budget minister) to save up for the next thing. But all things are looking up.:D

Benny
I bought some 185/60-14 Kumho WS 11's Izenstud, and for 50 bucks a corner, they are awesome!

X-frog
There is hope after all:bthumbup: It will be easier on the wallet. A little bit at a time is all I can afford for now. Tha is good ya. By the way would any boby from this club/forum have in there posession, a red Rocco 16v and, were at Canadian Tire on 97th street last sunday at about 3ish ? Couldn't stop and take a look. Thanks again for all for the help you are giving me.

Hey SSTUNER Thanks a million for the Tie Rod help. It helps to have people like you around.

Antonio

any suggestiona as to where i can get some upgrades fer my baby here in edmonton?

thanx

X-frog
I know someone who works with me and is part of the forum. He has connections in alot of places. I'll make sure that he has your handle.

sstuner
Hey X-Frog
next time just give thu guys and gals my name. its alright.
always glad to help, you know that first hand

325es!!!! welcome to the wonderful experience of owning one of the finest machines ever built. BIMMERS ROCK.

what are you looking for/looking to do???
like the frog there said i have connections all over town so if you need somethinglet me know before you buy it and i will see what i can do for you.

as far as replacement parts go, the boys at KARMAC are a bit pricy. Try EC automotive. They have everything that you could want or need there and if they dont have it in stock they can have with in hours.

Chris or Brian have been there for a long time and they know their sh*t.

there is another guy that i go to but i cant give his name out . its between me and him only. but we go back a few years and he knows his BIMMERS.

as far as hopping it up, well that all depends on what you want to do. you have the ETA version so there are a few things you can do to it,, you wont get alot of hp gains as that car is designed to go fast at low RPM and cruise a day. too much to note in here.

as far as scrap yards go its a hit and miss deal in edmonton. Calgary is way better and i mean way better. Black Gold in Nisku has some stuff but they are very pricy. and then there is lawrence out near mirrinville, he is pricy as well and a bit shifty i found so i dont go there at all. he trys to sell junk at an insane price. rusted exhaust for 150 bucks stuff like that.

i hope this helps. any questions, i will be on here and if i am not good ole X-Frog with his killer beard will tell me all about how people are wanting to talk to me .

lol good ole X-Frog, you do have a awicked beard:bthumbup:

Glenn 328is
Where is EC Automotive? Do they deal in E36s or just E30s?? Are there mechanics there or just parts? TIA

EC auto is on 118 ave and 87th street, i think i can never remember their adress. the are on the south side of the street right across from cash canada. after pussy cat video and before the church if you are heading east bond. 474 8585 is the number

i go there way too much to pay attention to the street signs. lo

they are a parts store, no mechanics there. there is a machine shop across the street as well and Hal does amazing work. there is one guy that works in the machine shop that used to race BMW. Bruno is an older guy that knows his stuff. awesome work and very very good prices. but as far as parts go if you want it they can get it. I have had no problems with the boys at EC in the last 6 years. I have only gotten the wrong part once, right number on the box just a wrong part in the box but that was a warehouse problem.

these guys used to be euro auto parts, then mike bought it and combined 2 stores together. at least thats the story.

tanks for the tip on the other site there, i am going to check it out.

sstuner

Hi Everybody!!

I have a 94 BMW 325is.

http://www3.telus.net/325is/Bmwpic.jpg

Glenn 328is
SilverE36,

your car looks almost like mine. Welcome. Very very nice.

SilverE36
Thanks Glenn, do you have a pic of yours? I would like to take a look at it.

Low Slow e30
What up. Another bimmer owner here. I drive a very very slow 87 325 with some suspension work and some minor visual stuff like smoked lights and rims and such. Need to work on engine stuff soon although an eta is never gonna be fast unless i learn a lot more about working on engines. Its still fun as hell though.:blue:

SilverE36
At least it looks good, it's not all about speed!! What plans do you have for your engine?

Low Slow e30
I will probably just toss a chip in because on eta's it is good for 24 hp and 28 lb/ft of torque. That will satisfy for a while. If I ever want something faster that bad I will buy a new car probably.

SilverE36
That should give you a nice increase in power. Should make a difference for you.

AudiFanatic
Yo guys,
Dont know if anyone would recognize this car, but I recently bought a red audi off of one of the mechanics at Eurasia. I still keep the license plate trim on, for nostalgia's sake. :D :D :D

SilverE36
Do you have any pic's of your Audi? Would like to check it out.

AudiFanatic
Hey,
Yeah I've got tons of pics, but I'm not sure how to post them... If u can show me how, I will for sure. Thanks for your interest!
