I assume you're driving a Cavalier. It's not an actual drift, but just pulling the e brake real quick to lock up the rear tires should suffice.
I wonder if we could set up a winter auto-x?? I realize that there are ice races, but so many people are paranoid about hitting snow banks and flipping and shit. Cones do alot less damage! (plus guys in WRX's don't have to find out that their cars aren't invincible)

| no, the cavy is parked right now, im actually driving my moms 98 malibu :D so there is no ebrake to pull. But theres no way to steer myself into it? |

| You need to induce snap oversteer. Drive into a corner, at a speed you are comfortable with, downshift, don't hit the brakes, make sure the front wheels have traction, and turn, if you do it right, the front of the car will slow down faster then the rear, and poof oversteer. |

or just use the park brake, its down by your left, just make sure you have your headup and dis-engage it after .5 seconds

- Park brake
- Left foot braking (with gas) <-the best
- The flick
or
- what I call Bitch Slappin (see slalom. does this count as drifiting???)
Basically pendulum weight transfer exacerbation. |

EH!....well I like to class drifting as an RWD and power sliding as FWD.
Now for FWD it is a bit hard to slide it out but the simple cure for that is speed and the rapid transfer of weight, and the always frendly LEFT FOOT braking.
So try this in a safe place, use small rock's or snow balls and place them as U would in a slalom with atleast 3 each one a bit closer.
now go through it and by the end your car should be feeling a sideways from there turn a bit into the slide with one foot on the brake and one hard on the gas.
this is a fun way to learn, I myself use this now for I do a rapid right turn 1/4 on the wheel and hard back to the left almost to pin and just as the car is about to turn left I bump the brake hard and that snaps out the ass end and WEEEEE as seen here MOOOO |

| i'll trade you my rear tires, my FF oversteers by default with them in the snow. |

Oh man, I just went out with my girlfriend and had a killer time rippin around.
there is this bus depot by the mall in st albert and i was drifting through that then around shopping carts, and like 5 people stopped and watched haha it was awesome! Then i went to the other side of the mall by canadian tire, and whos sitting right in the nicest patch of ice.......a cop car. ;) oh well, i just went behind canadian tire and went around dumpsters and parked cars.
Dont worry, i only overslid and almost hit the curb once in 2 hours :P
