I want to buy a new deck for my car.  What I want is a CD deck that can play mp3's from a cdr or cdrw.  Has anyone done some research into which one is good and can give me some suggestions?  Thanks

I just noticed one from Cantire on sale for $199.

Its from Koss tho...

If you're not fussy about how a deck sounds then the Koss is a great deal at $199!.

How a deck sounds?  Is it that much worse?

Do  you have a model number brandon?  I'd like to look it up on the net and see if there are any reviews.  That's a great price considering the one's I've seen were all around the $400.00 range, but it included installation.  Thanks

Well, I've been lucky enough to do several comparisons on the same speakers in a car and on the bench, they sound totally different from in car to on bench.

here is the makes and how I would rank them in terms of sound that I have tested from good to not so good: (these are the only brands I've listened to so far)

Alpine
Blaupunkt
Panasonic
Pioneer
Clarion

I just wasn't happy with the way the Panasonic or Pioneer sounds until I heard an Alpine. No comparison <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

I've only heard Koss on the soundboard and I wasn't to happy with the way it sounded, but hey, I'm really fussy  <!--emo&--><img src="http://asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''><!--endemo-->
