Modern Auto... reasonable price? LMFAO oh god that's a fuggin good one dood  they are one of the most expensive places in e-town

Lee Jay Autobody on 156 st. and about 130 ave, after the railroad tracks. not a guy under 35 workin there, the paint booth guy has been painting for 30+ yrs so you don't have "some young kid" workin on your car, you have dinosaurs.... professionals.. ppl who have been at it at least 10 yrs.

what ever you do, DO NOT TAKE IT TO JEAHN"S AUTOBODY OFF 91st STREET.

for a reason why check out my on going story..

http://www.civicevolutions.com/forums/inde...t=ST&f=3&t=1189

short form of that.. they had my car basically a month.. I get it back and the frame is still not straight, the paint it not properly matched, and they are failing to make my car a priority..

They are also the best in town, can you put a price on perfection?

redbaron303
Nope...

but we should have a thread pinned about Autobody's and Painters.... the good and bad, like buyer/seller feedback thread.

Try Reflections Autobody one the south side. Excellent work and they have an awesome warranty as well.

definately not blaine, they are one of the best shops in northern alberta hands down BUT the man asked about reasonable rates... modern is far from reasonable b/c like everything in this world quality reflects cost. LeeJay is where my Jag got done, got painted... where the Porsche got touched up.. and the Ram, great prices and damn good quality

The price that Modern charges IS VERY reasonable for the quality.
The consumer just has to gauge the level of quality they can afford.

My dads truck was broken into last summer and the theives wrecked the entire drivers side door.

The truck is a mint, black 96 Silverado Short box...I mean the paint is f@cking MINT. He took the truck to Modern and they said the whole door had to be replaced.

So, they replaced the door and matched the paint to absolute perfection. Its quite impressive to see that a body shop can make something look completely factory like they did to the door.

Modern = :bigthumbup:

It's not hard to match paint actually - the shop I get to mix my paint has a scanner they can use that will take the paint, scan it, and find a match for it. Pretty neat how they do that actually....

did he take it back and talk to them about it and things can change in two years.

for eg this summer they painted my car twice. and they did not charge me gave me nice rental to drive not their courtesy car..so im my opinion i could have had a better experince.. and for the price it was worth it. the color i asked was poorly matched..so then i picked new color and got it redone!!!

thanks to the guys at accord, my car looks nice :D

My friend got his Mazdaspeed protege fixed there and it turned out quite good considering the color of the car.

My buddy owns Reflections Autobody.

These shops are great, and they use Standox paint - very high quality, straight outta Germany - Showcase, Southern, Jim Young Coll. They all do excellent work at a resonable price and have great customer service. If you have more money to spend Modern is definately the best in the city, or you could try Joeys Place, or SFX.
