Sadly I overthought about the second movie and came to the conclusion that it was much more complex than it actually was. It would be an understatement to say that I'm really dissapointed with Revolutions.

same here i thought about two in such dept taht in think in three evryone was confused and just wanted to end it...i like 1 and 2 make for gret dramitic stor 3 jsut ahad overblown action shots of flying men they punched like an atom bomb went off |

i liked it too.......it was a LOT more simple that I had thought it would be......but overall it hought it was a good movie.....
i will go see it again...just to make sure i caught everything...i had t think about a few things but not as much as the second one.

That was the problem, I overthought the second one, had it in my head that the movie was wonderfully complex with layers of plots and subplots. Then I watched this and it ended up that there were no subplots, that it was just stupid.

Hahahaha, some woman was actually bawling in the theatre when that happened. I could hardly contain my laughter because of it. This movie wasn't about emotions, plot, character development, etc. It was about fighting and that's it.

I think you guys are all looking in to the movie to much and expecting to much. I saw it last night and went in with the attitude that it would suck and i liked it alot. I was confused for some parts but at the end alot of it made sense. I would recomend it to anyone who liked the 1st on. There was lots of action in it. and even my girlfriend liked it who didnt like the 2nd one at all.

I realized that I overthought it, and I did go into this one with low expectations seeing all the bad reviews and people not liking it etc. Yet somehow I still came away dissapointed. I think that they really copped out and made the movie simple to understand for the masses. The focus groups must have been completely lost after the second flick so they decided to dumb the third one down.
Hmmm, Zion another program for those that don't accept the Matrix, that seems simple enough. What? What do you mean you don't understand it? What you don't understand it either? Neo can do that because it's a different program for the people that don't accept the Matrix. Yes you can have a program inside a program. What? No you idiots, Neo isn't jesus! Jesus isn't the one. He's just realizing that......ah f@ck it, yeah Neo is jesus, he can shoot electricity out of his hands in the real world, yep that's right! No he's not the f@cking Emperor!! LoL, I imagine that's just how the focus groups went. Then to avoid any more bloodshed of stupid moviegoers the people making the movie just went with the "emperor jesus" angle.

I agree with you chromey, I was expecting some amazingly creative plot as to why neo could do that and it was summed up in 1 line by trinity i think it was.
"Neo, is part of the source" ....yea AND, they failed to explain anything and turned it into a gong show. I mean it makes secne that if he is part of the cource he can control them by shutting them down VIA the source yaddy yaddy yadda. But CMON!
I could have written a better ending.
Machines and humans live happily ever after?
So the machines still rule the world but wont mind if htere is zion?
Is Zero-One still the capital of the machine "world"?
What happens to all the people still in the matrix?
The architect said they could be free, but how would these peopel even know

Why didn't Zion have an "emp" machine for defence, and what happened to all their ships, i thought only half of them were lost in that "ambush"? Altho, it wouldnt have made for a very cool action sequence haha.
So these are all my unanswered questions. I was hoping that neo wasnt humn, and was actually a rougue program lie kthe merllvingian.

nah the fighting kind of sucks, the fighting in hte first part was teh best. I think the story was good when u think abt the whole story.
Niobe doesnt die, her group blew up the nuke plant, It was the other ship crew members who died, while trying to disable the backup systems. Some asian chick and 2 guys. |

A few people seemed confused from the second movie, let me try to help.
Naobe did NOT die in Reloaded nor did her crew, and there was no reason to even think so. There were three ships, three crews, three captains working together: Morpheus & crew, Naobe & crew, and the other male captain & crew.
Naobe & crew went to blow up the main power station. They were successful.
The male captain & crew went to blow up the backup powerplant. His crew included another black chick that kinda looked like Naobe, but was clearly not her. These are the people that are shown dying when their ship is destroyed. Then Trinity has to move in to finish for them.
This other woman was wearing black leather, sunglasses and had her hair back. Naobe was wearing red leather, sunglasses of course, and had that weird hairdo. I was confused too but only briefly when I first watched Reloaded, BUT.. Naobe is shown at the end of the movie again when Morpheous's crew & Naobe's crew are met up by the new male captain that showed up at the end. He was from yet another ship, that was not part of their mission. It came upon the FIVE ships that were destroyed in an early fray in the battle with the sentinels, and picked up Bane. |

It would've ben fun if that's how they ended the trilogy, but I guess I REALLY over analyzed it I was sooo far out with my theroy's man...

cuz neo went back to the source... well not in it but was there. So he gained soem connection to the machines, it was part of being the one. The oracle told him this, he jsut got that power way too early and should have died. |

meh, i was extremely dissapointed.
the action sequences were good. friend complained that the neo vs. agent smith fight was a dragonball z rip off. waiting for neo to become super sayan.
but i felt as though they brought in a completely divergent story of agent smith that didn't really have anything to do with man vs. machine. and at the end of it all, i didn't feel as though there were any closure |

Neo has a permanent link to the matrix, he can be in it without jacking in. The machines are all linked to the matrix, that's how they communicate between themselves. That's also how Neo is able to destroy them in the real world by "thinking it". He actually finds them in the matrix and destroy them there.
Niobe didn't die in the 2nd one, as inzane pointed out.
Zion is in the real world, so is Machine City. Neo dealed a peace with the machines by helping them destroy the virus Agent Smith.
Smith was able to "possess" that guy from the real world the same way Neo was able to go in the Matrix without being jacked in.
The only problem with all this is the Architect saying all the humans would be freed... I thought we were their source of power. I dunno how there are going to survive after we're freed. Even tho the architect said in the 2nd one the machines were prepared to accept a certain level of survival. That's my only unanswered question.

.....went to check out the matrix at the imax with a friend ..and you know how imax does speel about what makes the imax movie and the sound sytem they use and the xenon bulb that so bright that you can read a paper 10 miles out in deep space
well that very bulb blew like 20mins into the movie.....so all shows were cancelled
