I just bought a Compustar 2wss-as alarm/starter system off of ebay. I was considering installing it myself, but don't have the garage/time/knowhow to do it.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere to get it done. Does anyone know how much I would be looking at get it all hooked up?
I drive a 99 Civic SIR. Full load with 5 spd manual. So I'd be looking at basic alarm/starter install and power door locks, power window hookup, trunk, the full deal.
Compustar 2wss-as alarm specs
I currently live in Edmonton and was wondering where you'd recommend I take it to get this done.
TIA

I got mmy Compustar installed at Auto Temp on the west end.
Very good after-install service.
btw
My install cost me $300 (on top of the $350 unit)..5-speed tranny install is very expensive. if you can find an install for the 2-way on a manual tranny for under $200...I'll take 6. $50-60 is highly unlikely |

$50 ya right keep deaming, more like $210 for the basic install of the alarm and starter, other freatures he might want will cost more, you can be sure on that.
I know the manager Kyle pretty good to know that he wouldent do it for $50.00 not even for a case of beer, $50, and a happy meal :(
If you want it installed professionally let me know, your looking around $210.00-250 for install. You get life time warrenty on the install. It is done at Tec-Auto. Awesome guys! |

| Darcy at F/X. He's not the cheapest, but definitely the best. This is of course if you care who works on your car and what goes into it. |

A huge 2nd on that one!! Darcy's the only installer I'd let touch the electronics in my car. Been dealing with him for over 5 years now. |

ya chris is a cool guy. they did a nice job on my alarm, mounted the led in the steering column which i though was pretty cool.
he also gave me a bucnh of crimps and some back-strapping to install my dvd player, and when i lost my remote and bought a new one he said just bring it in and he re-programmed it for free. |

Well, thanks for all your suggestions. I found a good place to go through a friend of mine. I went to Ultimate Sound Connection on the South Side and I got the alarm/starter/power door lock hook up installed for $200. Pretty fair I figure. A solid install and very knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend them.
Thanks again.

| Stay away from AutoTemp uneless you want wires that aren't soldererd and dangling ect.. If you go there lets hope your car is done when they say it's supposed too..then make sure you have time to make a second trip back because they "forgot" to give you your factory stuff back. |

What about car starters? I picked up a polar start for manual trannies and I wanted to find someone to throw it in for cheap. If not I'll go back to A&B and have them install it and take a warranty away too.
