Heys guys need some help.

Lets say I bought and auto. 240 but in a while I was planning on changing engines anyways. How hard would it be to convert it to a standard.????????????????????

More work than i'd wanna do. You gotta find numerous parts and then install them, eg master cyl, slave cyl, lines. I think routing the lines would be a pain in the ass, as would actually installing the clutch petal. IMO save yourself time and money, keep looking till you find a standard.

also, the ka24, ca18, and sr20 all share the same transmision, just different bellhousings, so it dosent hurt to have an extra one lining around for spare parts when you do a swap.

Im in the same boat, auto 240. I figure that by the time i can actually do all of the things I would like to do, it might be cheaper to just sell the one i have now and buy the same one in a manual

but if you got the $$$, why not

Yeah, i hear its a pain in the ass, but its been done here in the city. Neil Sumaru did it to one of the SR swaps here.

I know automatics aren't as fun, and I would never own one again. But for turbo junkies, auto's aren't a bad way to go for drag racing. When an automatic shifts you don't need to let of the gas so there is no boost lost during shifts like a manual.

But then again you don't get the BOV noise on full throttle upshifts that the turbo junkies would sell their left nut for.
