most of the rappers start out rapping about real life stuff, you rap about your conditions, your life as it is at the moment. its just that when they hit it big their life is all about money, hoes and cars. its us the consumers who lead them to rap about all the bling bling... |

Hahaha, you're using "doctors and lawyers" musical tastes as a benchmark for taste? Well first off that's completely wrong, I'm sure that there are thousands of doctors and lawyers who listen to rap. Secondly using any one particular persons profession as a judge of musical tastes is just wrong, unless they happen to be a music critic. Even then, there are some terrible music critics out there who let personal preferences influence their position. LoL
Sorry to go on a bit of a rant, but I can't stand how people write rap off as irrelevant and unintelligent. Some of the lyrics that I've listened to in urban music have no competition from other genres of music.

I'm not saying his aren't, he was just overgeneralizing about both doctors and lawyers not listening to rap music, and rap music not having meaningful lyrics. When's the last time you saw a pop star take an ACTUAL stance on an issue, not just something their publicist thought would look great for their image.
