Shorty Shifter - Click HERE for Original Thread

I went to the auto wreckers today and found a shifter from a 86-87 supra, I had todo alittle bit of modding but it works and looks great, much better then the stock horsecock shifter that came with my car.

Ill get pics up later on if anyone is interested

I'm interested, I've been tempted to tear into my AE86 shifter, but I'm a little paranoid about messing it up.

chromey if you can find a second shifter at wreckers you can take it to a machine shop and have them shorten it and thread it properly for you. In my opinion worth the money it costs you in less headaches of none matching parts

I hope you did your research and readjusted your shift stops so you don't overextend and break the shift forks.

Just changing the length doesn't make a difference Blaine. You're still putting the shifter into the exact same place, there is just less shifter sticking up.

He pulled the shifter out of a Supra and put it into a DSM.
If he merely changed the SHIFT KNOB, it wouldn't be a big deal.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not exactly versed in the ways of swapping Supra shifters into DSM's, seems like a pretty odd thing to do.

How's that "women not working for you" thing working Dave?

Ahhh, that makes all the difference.
Just looking out for ya, I'd hate to see a mod that improves your shifter throw destroy your transmission. :(
