Easy way to lose a tummy? - Click HERE for Original Thread

GirlRacer P1
Okay guys and girls, I am really lazy, so don't tell me to go to a gym or anything. Is there any way I can lose the leftover baby tummy without making me feel like I am exercising? Does dancing or any of that help? Thanks!

2000z
Before anyone else says it........ :boink: B) :P

Seriously though, it's hard to pick specific areas like that. It's a lot easier to work on everything as a whole. Like start a cardio(jogging, rec league b-ball, etc..) routine and do some weight training at home (dumbells are effective and cheap). Of course, crunches are always good for abs and eating healthy is great for your whole body.

Really, there is no quick and easy way to be healthy/lose weight(or)inches/gain muscle(or)strength. The only way to do that with no effort involved is plastic surgery/liposuction.

 Haha, I was gonna say the same thing, but had to fight the urge. You said it, you take the heat!!

GirlRacer P1
Hey, I heard that :boink: is really good for you... but since I'm not doing that, I need another idea.
Rommel: Yes, I am lazy!!! I have a baby to worry about now! As for what I did before, When I was in Van I was always doing something, either going for walks around the inlet, or in the pool, or shopping.
Before that, I was raving a lot, so dancing was a great workout. Seeing as how it is winter and I have Dylan, I can't do much anymore. :(

Flex
Theres no such thing as spot reducing.....your body burns fat from where ever it wants to. So yes you have to work on your body as a whole.

Well........just go by......more output then input

Watch your diet and get moving....wlaking, dancing, what ever you can

Thats about the "laziest" way I can think of.

Or you can also try taking a fat burner as well.

GirlRacer P1
Thank you Flex!!!!!

Finally someon that gives me the easy way. :)

a fat burner? haha those are bad news...mess with your metabolism, hormonal levels, and make you more hyperactive than you already are crystal :)
these things also have other side effects such as dehydration, causes nervousness, irritability and im not sure those side effects are all that great when you have dylan to take care of.

honestly though, you gotta put in some work, build up some muscle mass underneath then everytime you even do a little physical activity you burn a lot more calories than if you werent to put in any work. do some light weights with some ab crunches, get the pilates video series you know things like that.

another thing that works is even if you are lazing around watching tv, just start clenching your abs and hold it for 30 seconds at a time and work your way up to a minute.

and if all else fails

:boink: :boink: :boink: burns a heckuva lot of calories not to mention the emotional and mental benefits. :D

Theres tons of products out there that work for fat burning that dont contain ephedra. There are lots of fat blockers and carb blockers as well that dont have the side effects of ephedra either. Also theres lots of herbal things you can try as well.....so dont be dissing my statement til you know what Im talking about.

I wouldnt tell her to take ephedra.....especially with a child shes looking after.

And she was looking for the easiest way.......I could have told her go to the gym and all that...but thats not what shes looking for.

Like I said before...just do anything that gets you moving.

PS Crystal- there is no real "easy" way

Do as much around the house as you can. Dance while cleaning or something, dance with Dylan as much as possible. Aswell that is very stimulating for him, activating his mind with music and movement will help him. while watching tv do crunches, or put Dylan on your knees and jump him alot longer than normal. Lots of little things. Wont make the world of difference but at least its something.
Best of luck.

:boink: :boink: :boink: :boink: is the best I find though!

Transporter
expensive..gnc has a epidermel gel for 100 to lose tummy fat so the abs musles can be seen

did anyone see that episode of oprah i think where they showed you how to do household chore aerobics? basically when doing chores you can make it more aerobic if you move more while doing it, like doing bigger pushes when vaccuming and larger circles when dusting...stuff like that :)

GirlRacer P1
Okay, to clear it up, I would never take any kind of drug. I know how unsafe they are, and especially since I have Dylan I would not want to be all wired.
I mean the walking and stuff when I was thanking Flex. :)

ephedra is bad mmmkayy?...
I tried it, and thought my heart was going to vibrate out of my chest.
I was jittery and jumpy as well.

hahah, you told me about that R!
What are couch arobics?? How do I do them?? Does it involve bring the chocolate up to my mouth? ;)

God, you're hyper enough, I can't picture you on ephedra. Yikes!!!!

midnite
wear revealing tops and nobody will notice your tummy !
:P

GirlRacer P1
Midnite: hahaha, I was thinking about butt hugging jeans instead! :D

Spike7ss
Tabeo or how ever you spell it ;)

Z3r03rr0r
taking Dylan to WEM and walk around for an hour or two once or twice a week.
Eating spicy foods is also good for raising the metabolism. If you are sitting on the couch not only do crunches or something like that you can simply just move your feet around a bit and it will get your body to burn more energy and keep that level up for a while. As well as snacking on celery and carrot sticks more often if you eat a couple pieces of celery between meals your body will start dropping weight quickly.

bigboom
yeah thsoe negative calorie foods are great like that, celery, lettuce...all that lovely stuff :)

GirlRacer P1
Sean: I try to do that each week, but I am not always able to. I want to start yoga, and cardio. :) I need to improve my streching as well.

Z3r03rr0r
stretching is good idea, flexabilty is a very good thing *wink**wink*

PILATES:bthumbup: It works wonders and just a few exercises 10-20 mins/day can give you a flatter stomach in a week or 2.

Awwww, thanks Aaron!!

the_saint: I haven't bee eating much fast food at all, and I am getting in more exercize now... shovelling the driveway is hard work!!

GTS Jeff
well i would say, dont eat...but ppl always get pissed when i reply that way.

TaLoN
you can try this diet that i herd from a friend that lost 45 pounds in 2 months. She said all dhe did was a low to No Carb diet. which means dont eat anything thats hight in Carbohydrates. Things like bread, rice, potaoes, and Pasta, eat more Meats and less white foods. I decide to try it so if all goes well il let you know if it works. but it doesnt hurt to try.

Danny

GirlRacer P1
I don't want to lose weight, I like the size I am, any smaller I would dissappear!!!! That and I like food way too much!!!! :P

TitanMS
Rice is very healthy. And not high in anything.

Insomniac
yeah right

Rice is very high in carbs....to many carbs means fat

thats why u have a treadmill :p

TitanMS
Ok first of all that is why I have a treadmill?? Ummm last time I looked I didnt. Ok so according to all of you a diet should be meat?? Very smart!!! Gout is from red meat and makes people fat so how would some one lose weight by eating only meat??? case closed but there is no way to lose your tummy being lazy!! You have to work out not take fat burners. You said you dont want to lose weight so why would you think dieting would make your "baby" tummy go away?

TaLoN
titan so far about the diest thing Ive been doing it since Jan 1st and ive already lost almost 10 pounds and all ive been eating is chicken steak and salad so there. it has worked so far.

Danny

Flex
Who said anything about eating just meat???????????

You have to watch your carb intake just as much as your fat intake when your wanting to loose bodyfat.

So a diet of just rice will get you fat just like a diet of fatty foods.

Miss Nikki Sixx
People hear about the Atkins and assume WAY too many things. it's not as simple as elimination of CHO. Do you realize that fruits and vegtables have CHO, does it therefore make sense to eliminate them from your diet??

Seriously, any of you, before starting to mess around with your diet, go talk to a nutrionist or someone who knows, or read a damn book.

GirlRacer P1
okay guys, enough hijacking my thread again....
I am NOT looking to diet, I have already been told I am tiny enough. I just want something that will help tone what I do have. :)

Insomniac
get off the computer and go excercise

Flex
Yup....the only way your gonna tone is thru excercise.

GirlRacer P1

That was pretty rude. I do exercise, it is called running around after my son all day.

Insomniac
Hey, I'm not the one asking how to lose a tummy and then posting a thread asking when Krispy Kreme donughts are coming.

You want to lose your tummy with no excercise and you want to eat donughts?

I'll offer you some realistic advice (no joke).

START SMOKING

GirlRacer P1
Ummm, no.

Magnum
i'd have to say sit-ups- full ones, with your knees up in the air, and crunches with your knees and your feet elevated... and leg raises.. --put your hands under the small of your back and keep your legs straight, raising them from 6inches to 12inches off the ground... dont let your heels touch the floor.....you can do them in bed, depending on how firm your matress is, or just do them on the floor before you go to sleep.. just do them properly, and start at 25 of each, and work your way higher, and you should notice results in about a month...

thats my advice for toning your stomach, but i still think that u have nothing to worry about crystal;)

or there is some guy that was in jail that proved you can tone your body by just flexing alot, like in reps..... sounds fucked up, but you could give it a try..

ManHunter
edited due to wrong account

GirlRacer P1
Okay, now that I am in my own account:

Thank you Aaron, I might have to try that! I think shopping also works for a light toning
I am not as bad about my tummy anymore, I think I was just pmsing when I started the thread. I got convinced it is a nice tummy now. :)

s2oooR
at least she admits its pms lol

bahahah, what a joke!

and the Krispy Kreme observartion - first thing I thought of too, beat me too it. Good job

superpirate25
Man, I just read this thread and came to a conclusion.... Tummy has got to be the stupidest word I've ever heard.

Makdaddy
Late reply but..have u ever heard of CLA? Conjugated Linoleic Acid....it's a 'good' fatty acid that helps u metabolize the 'bad' stuff that accumulates. It is targeted more towards the lower abdomen..there's no significant side effects noticed.

I took it (with exercise of course...) and I lost about 10 lbs in a month and was much more toned around the stomach.

GirlRacer P1
Thank you for the late reply, but I am not needing to lose any weight. As for my stomache, I am quite content with it now. :)

ehos
Drink water.

Xenos911
any timely results will only occur w/ exersize (gotta love that cross trainer)

no pain no gain... 30 minutes a day does wonders.

diets do work, but they take way too long to get results and most people give up on 'em too early

the best way obvioulsy is to workout and eat smart
