i heard it was at like 8 oclock our time yesturday night...wasnt he supposed to be dead or something>>>

Heres some of the story:

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- After eluding coalition forces for months and vowing never to be taken alive, a disheveled Saddam Hussein was found hiding in a hidden hole near a farmhouse and was captured without firing a shot, coalition authorities announced Sunday.

U.S. troops captured Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) hiding in a hole near his hometown of Tikrit in a major coup for Washington's beleaguered occupying force in Iraq

"Ladies and gentlemen, we got him," L. Paul Bremer, head of the Coalition Provisional Authority, announced Sunday morning at a news conference in Baghdad.

The audience responded with cheers, and Iraqis took to Baghdad streets dancing, doling out candy and firing rifles into the air. But in Tikrit -- Saddam's ancestral hometown and a base of loyalty to him -- the streets were quiet. (Map: Site of Saddam Hussein's capture)

U.S. President George W. Bush, in a televised speech Sunday, said that the capture will assure the Iraqi people that "that the torture chambers and the secret police are gone forever."

"Now the former dictator of Iraq will face the justice he denied millions in Iraq," the president said.

Bush said that the American people must continue to be patient and show resolve, and said Saddam's capture "does not mean the end of violence in Iraq."

"We still face terrorists who would rather go on killing the innocent than see the rise of liberty in the Middle East," Bush said.

well I didn't really mean you, that's the general perception in the US right now that's all.

I think Al Qaeda and other radical muslim anti-american groups will be much stronger in the future due to the USA's actions over the last 2 years. They've created even more animosity and hatred towards themselves.

Don't you guys remember that deck of cards bullshit.

Anyhow, I really don't give a shit what they do to Saddam, just so long as it puts a blemish on Bush's face and he doesn't win that election. If Bush wins in the coming months, our world will have a very trying next 4 years. We've never before been closer to the annhialation of our species, and people just dont see that because the media isn't reporting it.

I'm referring to the dozens of wars raging in Africa, the ongoing Palestinian/Israeli conflict, and perhaps the most potent being Kashmir. One of the most beautiful cities in the world that is as close to hell on earth as you can get. I honestly see India and Pakistan being the trigger that sets off a nuclear world war. They are so close it's terrifying.

It's more ignoring the conflicts that are happening and starting up new ones that the US is doing.

If a person is on this board they are likely canadian, no matter where they are from, that should give them a Canadian point of view. It's too bad other countries don't have the same beliefs in freedom as Canada and the U.S. If the Pakistan and India can't control themselves there is only one country who can help, and it isn't Canada.

Remember, all we see is what the media reports. There is a HELL of a lot of things going on that we don't even have a clue about, or are allowed to know about, or should know about etc etc.

Anyone ever receive that email going around about the falicies of George Bush? IS was a huge ass list of the records he has accomplished (not one is a good record). He should be strung up right next to Saddam.
