Fave Tuner Magazine - Click HERE for Original Thread

Just curious to see what everybodys fave sport compact tuner magazine is, or any car magazine for that matter. I like Sport Compact Car, but my fave is now Performance Auto and Sound, cuz i found out they are canadian. And its not all hondas in there

They only do an issue every few months, but is a no-bullshit mag with awesome information.

A few years ago I picked up a few copies of Performance Audio and Sound. That was before I had much taste in cars. The stuff they have in there is terrible, and waayy too much audio crap. Any good content they have is just ripped off of other mags anyways. But it is Canadian and that's what made me buy it in the first place. Anyways, my favorite is probably SCC although I don't really buy magazines anymore. Seems kinda pointless with the internet and all.

I like SCC the best. They balance power/handling/styling stuff about the same as I do. I like their project cars and tech articles too. Just wish they'd cover some import drag racing and can Rado.

Anyone remember TMR? I used to love that. Damn I wish it were still here.

Grassroots Motorsports. They show how to make real power without a lot of money. Every year, they hold a contest for readers where they can't spend more money on the car than the number of the current year (ie, this year the limit was $2003). The ingenuity and creativity is amazing.

The cars go to the drag strip, the autoslalom course, and a concours d'elegance. The car with the top totalled score wins the event.

It gives guys like me (who have very little money to spend on the car) hope.

I find the more girls-in-very-little-clothing there are in the magazine, the less useful the information is in the magazine. Grassroots has no girls-in-very-little-clothing.

Insomniac
I used to subscribe to grassroots. It was a bit boring, but yeah, those guys are hardcore.

im gonna check out grassroots i think...altho ive never seen it on news stands??

VerbotenZ34
Hmmm, I like them all: HCI, Import Tuner, Modified, SuperStreet, SCC, etc. I should probably just get a subscription to all of them and save myself some money
Oh yeah, and PASMag too! They have an entire section in the back devoted to Boobies!
