Hey there,
Well, I think its time for a new meeting location, because the one at Kelsey's is just a touch too loud, and not roomy enough. So I talked to the guys over at Fastrack, and they said it would be all good if we had our meetings there. We get the meeting room for free, but all that he asks is that we go racing after. I'm not EXACTLY sure on the price of each race, but I thought that I remember hearing something about $15 a race instead of $25. We'll see.
What do you all think? If all goes well, the next meeting will be as usual, First Sunday of every month, 7:00pm at Fastracks in WEM.

My only concern would be the security for the cars during the summer months.
I wouldn't really care during the winter, while I drive my Sentra around. But my Z doesn't get left unattended at the WEM parking lot anymore... I stopped doing that about 3 years ago.
This was one of the main reasons the Z Club didn't choose this location two years ago when we relocated.
However, on the other hand... talking to my buddy Richard over the last couple years, it sounds like its worked out alright for the RX-7 club. |

If we feel that it will cause some troubles, the meetings there might only be in the winter time. Its a thought. And I totally agree with you there. I feel very wary leaving the car there unattended.
Once when watching a movie, I left the theatre like 8 times, just to check on the car. lol. |

Not everyone is supposed to race, but for having the room there for free, the owner would like to encourage us to do so. $15 isn't THAT much for how much fun it is. If it was a chore, then yeah, I would like the fee either. We could have like mini tourneys. :D |

| I say we head over to WEM a little earlier and hit the Hooters for wings and beer then head to FastTrack for the meet. Or for those that don't wanna race go for wings and beer after. |

Yeah, I'd rather not have club members having beer before racing on Gokarts. But wings would work.
Also, the only reason we are getting the cheap racing, is because I said we would hold the meetings there. Unless some of you want to hang out before the "meeting" at Hooters. |

| Jason, I'm not crazy about 15$ but I haven't heard a better alternative. I don't much like parking a t WEM at the best of times. It will help us find a better location. If I thought the club would stay small, I'd be interested in hosting it at home. |

unfortunately not... sold it to get the SW20. I do very much wish I had more time to autoX in it... I only did 3 events in it, which I believe you seen most of. Had the first 2 events on all seasons (every1 seems to remember that :rolleyes: ) and for the 3rd event when I finally had the RA1's it rained all weekend and didnt get to enjoy it to the fullest...
that weekend was damn fun though, too bad we still dont have our jackets or money for winning the group 2 team event.

dont get me wrong, its not like Im demanding them. He did contact us a while back and said they would be a while. Some times the sponsors take a long time to go through with their promises.

As for the meeting time/place.... I believe Sundays after 6pm belong to the race league members so if we are to meet at fast trax some1 should confirm the time.

Chris, I thought Teresa wanted nothing to do with the NECC? I've not seen her at a single meeting or hardly seen any replies/threads from her. Just curious on what has changed? |

| Jared, I think she stays away because she got sick of some of the bullshit that was flying around... and to be honest it was exactly that. I am sure we could all go out and have fun as long as some parties learn to keep their comments to themselves and not make their own preconceptions. |

Yeah, it was mainly me at first with the assumptions, but Theresa and me have worked things out (I think). As far as her coming, not a clue.

Aaron, I know for a fact there are no problems between you two anymore, but some people just cant let things go... :drama:
either way, if she does come out, the guys better get their asses in gear cause she will embarrass some of them
but I for one am pretty stoked about having these meetings at Fast trax. Sometimes when I am busy I go 2 months without hitting the track and that really sucks. Its a good stress reliever.
