what size of window are you lookin to make? Alot of the crap you can get at Revy is quite thin and will not be stiff enough to keep from vibrating.

The thickest ive seen is 3/16's Transparent Acrylic called "Safe-T-vue". Its supposed to be shatter proof and it only cost like 9bux for a 3'x3' sheet. It showever isnt strong enough for a large window.

If you really want some thick stuff, go to a hockey rink and ask them were they get their plexi... I'd like to know too ;)

one of my suppliers carry all that stuff how big and do you want clear or colored??

ChromeDragon
I'm guessing that glass shops would most likely have it. Plus it's easy to cut and shape too, you can make custom window shapes!

We buy plexi from Kavanagh Plastics (436-5139) 4418 97st they should be able to help you out there :)

the plexiglass im gonna need isnt gonna need to be very thick, but im gonna get the super thick stuff just incase, dont want any breakage from the vibrations. Its easier to do it right the first time. And the only place ive heard in red deer that has it is home depot. So im gonna go tommorow and check them out.

You'll find the same stuff that I got.. its not very thick.. Just dont make a large window, and you will be fine..

ya the window is only gonna be big enough to go around my amp, so i shouldnt have a problem. Im prolly gonna have another smaller peice to cover up a cap too.

Take a power saw Oiler's rink and cut the size you need from the plexiglass they have around the rink on the boards....

hahah k, ill make sure to do that. Actually i presume some of u guys dont play hockey, cuz the glass at rinks is fucking THICK. i dont think itd need to be that thick honestly. ud need a fuckload of subs to even make a dent in that stuff. Altho i guess thats the whole point :D

curtis_rak
arena plexiglas is usually 1/2"

high school
ya i dunno for sure... we were playing hockey a couple years ago, and my buddy got hit onto the boards, and his stick was up and hit the glass in the exact right spot cuz the whole thing shattered. it was quite cool actually.

I'd use that stuff to make a complete plexi box... not just a window :) ... even that would need some bracing..
