you can download translated version off Kazza. I have every episode translated. Im not sure if they are out yet but we are getting a made for north america, translated version for sale here |

I emailed them too. Id love to see more old school cartoons played but oh well. Ninja Turtles, He-Man, Astro Boy, Inspector Gadget, Wuzzles, so many more!
I wouldn't mind seeing Initial D in a subtilted version. At least then you know whats going on. |

I've got the first 2 stages (releases) on DVD, with the Japanese soundtrack with English subtitles, and the English soundtrack.
Initial D is a Japanese-made, drifting cartoon. The main character is this high school kid named Takumi, who drives the delivery vehicle (a Corolla GTS, circa 1986) for his dad's Tofu Shop. Everyday, this kid has to drive the deliveries up to the Lake Akina resort (this winding mountain road).
This kid hates driving, because he associates driving with working. But, his father is a drifting champion, and showed him how to drive fast. This kid knows the Lake Akina road so well, that he can drive it way beyond anybody else's ability (even uses a drainage channel for a hairpin ditch hook at over 100kmph), although he doesn't recognize or care about that fact.
His buddy is a real goober who lives and breathes drifting, although he has no car and no ability. When he finds out Takumi has a Corolla GTS, and is a like the god of drifting (Takumi beats this other drifting god who was driving a 350hp 3rd gen RX7), he whales on him, yelling "why didn't you tell me?"
It's a cute cartoon in places, but really boring in others. Overall, I think the hype is bigger than the reality. It sure takes a long time to do very little in this cartoon, but then again, that's the way most Japanese cartoons are........... |

| That'd be nice. Another my country's cartoon comes out on television here with proper translations. :) I'm wondering if there is any Asian comics translated into English and sold here? I have the latest comic (which is 27th series of Initial D), and hope to share with interests. (It's a bit different from TV series, but after 16th series, it contains about Project D races, Genta (Takumi's father) races with Takumi, and so on... it's great!!!) I absolutely e-mailed them. :cool: |

hahah wow u hit the nail on the head there. It takes them like 4 episodes of all talking to even get into a fight, then it takes another 2 to actually finish the fight, then another 1 to see the aftermath. |

Where do you get your Initial D manga from Shimarisu, I am interesting in seeing Bunta's WRX give Takumi a whooopin...
I wouldn't own an RX-7 Turbo or even care about cars at all if it wasn't for Initial D....it sparked an interest in cars for me.
Oh BTW...official word is out, Stage 4 is in production for airing in Japan in, I believe I read it was February...Japanese is impossible for me to read right now, and the website translations are rough at best. I can't wait to get my hands on the RAW files =P (Watching Naruto right now, its kinda interesting). |

ah...I believe that's his original eye size. (They look closed but opened...lol) There are some ppl have that kind of eyes in Japan.

I got all manga in JPG format from my bro. (He is in Japan.) I understand that making CG takes so long so it seems fourth stage is finally coming out in a couple of months in Japan. (I heard that the graphic will be better than third stage.):D |

Here is my translation of the news on Searchina website site.
The producer Tsui Hawk casted Jay Jo, the famous Taiwan singer, as a main character of Initial D movie(which means Takumi). Jay signed up his casting with 4 million Hongkong dollars. And it seems like Edison Chan could be casted as Itsuki or Ryousuke. But the news didn't say any further cast for any particular role... They will start recording the movie this March in Japan! (So I suppose they shouldn't get f'up...) |

It better be good! Better than the anime. No cheesy nightshot shit, it's not exactly easy to get those nightshots without lights everywhere though.....ah well. I suppose we'll wait and see.
