V8less Forum Update - Click HERE for Original Thread

Bimmer
This is a announcement that we will be changing our forum software very shortly.  I will let everyone know a few days before it will be changed.

Once it's changed, you will be required to Re-Login with your username and password.  If you don't remember your password you can go to your "Control Panel" now and change it to something you won't forget.  If you don't do this, you can still go through the "lost password" option to retrieve your password, or you can contact one of the admins to reset it for you.

Thanks for your patience.

V8less Crew.

Clem
Please tell me it's vBulletin. I admin 2 boards using that software. Little more user friendsly, less server overhead and faster (as it's more memory intensive vs. CPU intensive), easy admin options.

Vbulletin is a good software, but that's not what we are switching to.  I just don't like their licensing plan... I don't mind paying for a forum package, but with only limited time upgrades, that sucks.

The program we are switching to is similar to the one we use currently but with a few more feature, and most importantly is PHP based.

Once we are able to switch to a fully php integrated site, then I'd like to create some nice user features such as user webpages, car database etc.

phorum?

E46Fanatics used to run on it.

Actually it's a fairly new program called Invision Board.
