Springs Help - Click HERE for Original Thread

Honda_Honey
I've been searching for good quality springs for awhile now that will lower my car no more than 1". I've only found the H&R OE sport springs that lower .25 inch.

Will the mass of cargo really effect the ride height?

Is this too small of a drop to reap the benifits of having your car lowered?

Anyone know of other springs that will drop no more than an 1"?

Its for a 94 accord 4cyl daily driver with plans for maybe the rare weekend event.

I don't really see the point in lowering your car less than an inch, I don't think you'd see *that* much benefit...why not stick with OE springs? And why not drop it >1"?

Go 2"

2 is a nice number.

<2 = boo.

I'm afraid I'll bottom out my underside:(.

I'd go with aftermarket shocks to stiffen up your ride
(although not overly necessay, it is a nice way to replace your existing, and probably tired, shocks).

A conservation 1.3" drop is offered by most reputable aftermarket spring companies, and it is doubtful you'd bottom out on anything less that a massive pothole (I'd say never, but i've seen some killer potholes here in Edmonton).

Mai, with the Accord, there was quite a drop, an bottoming out. No worries if you want to drop it a couple inches. You need to replace parts of your suspension anyways, may as well make it worthwhile. :)

maybe I should go with the tein basic damper, I love the ride height adjustability on them.

i dropped mine less than an inch and i saw the difference :dunno:

mind you, i didnt wanna drop mine too much b/c i read a few things about the handling actually being WORSE than stock! ....mind you, that could also mean the tires made a big difference. Anyways, i was happy with less than an inch drop....

all depends on how high the car is to begin with

Eibach pro kit is supposed to drop it about an inch.

94 accord- 1.2" drop
