I hate the work computer - Click HERE for Original Thread

Ever since i got a new harddrive, i don't know what the hell is different with it, but I can't view any pages with javascript. I've tried installing JVM and all that other crap and it SAYS it installed, but if i look at explorer, there still isn't that little tab saying to enable javascript. So basically, if i go to a page that needs a specific log in, it just sorta closes the window on me. WHYYYYYY

TypeRWannabe
that happened to me when i downloaded some java stuff for school, i had to go into internet options then advanced in internet explorer and click the use java box

you could also try getting the JVM from here
if you could give a little more info it would be helpful as well
such as operating system, and what not

no EO at work eh?

Scintillater
hahha. nope. no eo at work. since i got a different computer. other comps can still get on...but this one is slightly different. windows 2000 OS used to be a dell format install i think, but then we formatted the harddrive i THINK....i dunno because i'm not the one who did it. one day the comp just appeared. haha.

should be able to pull the new JVM from windows update site

SplineZ
I thought MS removed the JVM from their website...

Have you checked your browsers security settings?

they had removed it in XP in favor of there own in house version that was craptacular, AFAIK they were still carrying it for 2k and now have a semi decent version for XP, for myself I grabbed the version from sunmicro instead
