WTB: KA-E perf. parts anyone? - Click HERE for Original Thread

0range_240
Hey guys, just checkin to see if anyone has any performance parts that'll fit the 24E, that they wanna sell. All ive got right now is intake/exhaust/pulleys, looking for anything to do with ignition, cams, header, flywheel, etc. etc.

Just testin the waters ;)

Just save your money and do the sway yourself. It will usually come out cheaper in the end or at least that is what i have figured out. A stock SR20 will hand a ka24e with mods its ass any day of the week. Sorry to burst you bubble :blue:

Do a sr20, or if on a buget do a ca18. if you wanna be different a rb20. if you have lottsa money do a rb25. IMO there is little to gain in building up a ka24, andyes it can be turboed, but i'd rather start with a engine that was meant to be turbo (there are a lot less unknowns that way). I did the swap, and i would guess that if you were on a buget and did the labour yourself you could fairly easily do the swap for less than $5000.

I appreciate the responses, but I am already getting a swap done next winter, and I already have the money put aside for it.. right NOW though im just looking for some little add-ons to make life a little more bearable until my swap happens :blue:

out of curiosity, where did you get your motors from?

knight180sx
Here's a few suggestions for you, for getting the motor.
Phase2motortrend, Heavy throttle, Jspec, Enjuku Racing, try to avoid ebay!.

I bought mine through Passion.

You have to be careful with these places though. They are highly reputable, but not all of them(I know Heavy throttle for sure) will ship to Canada.

Lol, I don't think many of us are out to become "true JDM". I know I"m now. I couldn't give two if its "JDM", as long as it looks good and goes fast. ;)

But on topic, yeah, if you are planning on doing "the" swap, I wouldn't waste money on the KA. Even if you want a little fun from it first. You would have to spend a nice sum if you want more "fun" from that motor, cause you have already have the basics on it already. Same that cash for extra toys on the new motor, or wheels, or suspension or anything like that. Thats what I would do.

How about if we ship Mark in a container to Japan, and he can be someone's servant and be JDM all the way.
