Going to try to answer as many questions here as I can.
V8's in a V8less Event...
I spoke to the drag director today and he is confident that we will not have an overload of V8's. He spoke to a lot of the regulars and they are aware that it is a non-V8 event. Having said that see the next point
Paying $20 for 2 runs, WTF???
I recommend that all people sitting on the fence whether to race or not do this. Pay the $7 for entrance. You can watch the races and the line ups, if they are not too bad, you can upgrade your $7 pass to a race pass for the difference ($13). Therefore the risk is much lower. And remember, you still eligible for the show and shine prizes whether you race or not.
How do I get into the show and shine?
There will be signs and marshals to direct you. If you miss the signs, just ask someone at the V8less booth in the Gallery that you want to enter your vehicle. They will assist you.
I never drag raced before?
No problem, its very easy and we'll have several people lending a hand. The people running the lanes are very friendly. We've all been through this before.
Do I need a helmet?
Yes you do! But we will have loaners on site for $10.
What if it rains?
If it rains hard, the event will be cancelled. If it rains during the event, depending on how long the event has run you may be receive a credit for a future date.
