black cherry autobody will do your whole car with door jams for 1200-1500 i think, give em a call but make sure you talk to steve, if he's not there, call back.
they're pretty good too. |

i don't know them personally except that they painted the fron half of my car,
like i said just talk to steve, he quoted me like $600 or sumthin to paint and install my hood, fenders and bumper, I called back later and one of his lackeys quoted me 1300 for the same job,
but I remember seeing something about the painting full cars for 1200, 1500 w/ the door jams |

| thanks alot for the help guys...i went into black cherry and talked to steve, he was a really helpful guy and seemed to do some nice work there. Im taking it in next week sometime and they're gonna do the car for around $1500 (w/ shaved badges + accesories & pieces done as well) |

$1500 for a full job with doors and everything done!!! Yeah....well all I can say is ya get what you pay for. Go to modern and they will quote you $4000-$6000 for the same job......but it will be flawless. I'd be very skeptical that $1500 will get you a perfect job. If you are gonna do the whole car...save up and get it done right.

| that is true in most cases...however the actual cost to a painter to do this job is maybe a few hundred bucks ....my moms ex used to paint and he was one of the best i have ever seen he did amazing work and he charged only like 600 labour the rest paint..and paint aint that much..thats with like 6 coats and baking |

| so i got it towed this morning and got roughly a $2000 estimate on what i wanted done plus fixing the rust on the entire car (bad around rear qpanel and sunroof). One of the guy's that worked there was saying he swapped a B-16 into one of his friend's 2nd gen lude....this will be my next project :D |

Actually, you can pay anywhere from $50/pint up to $600/pint depending on the paint....and 6 coats??? What color paint......was it sprayed properly......is that 6 coats including both base and clear??? Mine, properly done, will take 3-4 base coats and 2 clear coats at the most. I may do a pearl over the base...but 6 coats is a lot! |

well the bottom line is they do a good job. i might not be perfect but in the end my car entire car with an awesome factory paint job cost 6500, there's no way I could ever justify $4000-6000 for PAINT |

| 6 coats isnt a whole lot...ive seen more then 15 coats...but hes painted cars since he was 16 yrs old without a ticket..hes 45 now and has had his ticket for like 20 years...hes the best ive ever seen when it comes to painting...he doesnt do the airbrush graphics or anything but he can paint! |
