Anyone watch any foreign films?

my personal favorites are super car criminals (chinese) Friend (korean) Battle Royal (jap) Full throttle was kind of cool for a motorcycle movie. and casino, some of the YnD's are ok, kinda old though. The boys return (jap) awesome movie.

Comedy
my wife is a gangster (korean) sooooo funnny.
Conman in tokyo (chinese) fucking halarious movie.

Horror
Audition (mike takaaishi or however you spell it) pretty good movie. only watched it once, too scared to watch it again :p

Is saw the Italian movie "Life is Beautiful". A jewish guy's point of view about the Nazi concentration camps and what not. Anyways, it was the most boring movie I've ever seen. North American films is where it's at....

i dont know about that, after seeing films like bikerboys or torque or extreme hiest has kind of tuned me off to the whole domestic movie thing. I still like the big blockbusters or some lesser known productions but some of the site that get's put out is garbge.

at least with foreign films, the crappy ones dont really make it to north american, kinda like the car's i guess.

Craegkraft
amelie is a wonderful french film, run lola run and the soldier and the princess are two amazing german ones... thought the former is much more well known and (IMO) a little better done, even though it features the same actress. awesome anglo-german soundtrack for run lola run too.

The Experiment (German) is really good.

Main character in this is also in Run Lola Run.

Most people may find it odd, but I loved Amelie. Extremely funny, great heart, not to mention Audrey Tautou is a little hottie!

I watched Amelie on a plane trip home from Toronto, with no sound. Surreal experience.

Liked Run Lola, didn't they make a anglo (US) version? Like that French one that they Americanized into Point of No Return. I forgot the name, it was with a girl blackmailed into being a hit-person after a botched robbery.

BlueTurboEGG
Battle Royal was kind of weird...

The Story of Ricky is 2 hours of my life I wish I could reclaim...

Nikita. Awesome movie. 100% better than the Point of no Return remake. Harvey Keitel doesn't even reach up to Jean Reno's ankle as the "cleaner".

yah la femme nikita... good shit.

i like my wife is gangster and another korean one called my sassy girl.

the y and d's are cool...

Bad Egg
Yes, thats it. I was on the end of a 12 hour night shift and I could not remember La Femme Nikita! Saw it more than once, and I only do that for movies I really like. Never sat through a whole episode of the TV series named after it.
