Have you been in Edmonton ?North End.... I swear I have seen that big ass wing ?? hehehe
You are right... loose the wing...
The color, front end, rims are nice....... A subtle wing would be good. If you could drop that car an 1-2 inches it would sit nicer.... Thats assuming we are only going for looks ?

it's a j body I don't know what to say.
the one thing I would say is why 2.5" exhaust and Bosch 4+ plugs?
Bosch +4 plugs are designed for European cars that still burn leaded gas.
Changing your exhaust from 2" to 2.5"?:dunno:
no advantage, unless you runnin a turbo/super charger
Like the rims though |

An honest rating? I think you need to start from scratch.
Absolutly terrible. In the nicest possible way.
A huge alloy wing (you had better be sellin that  ) and cheap wheels, with no suspension or engine work.
A decrease in torque (way too buck of an exhaust system), and improper plugs for your application. That CAI aint doing anything for ya so build on the powerplant and you'll see some better results. A P+P job on that head works wonders, also look into a camset/HD Valve Springs also.
Get rid of the wing and at least get some lowering springs. The aggressive look without being fast whatsoever...aint cool anymore unfortunatly. ESPECIALLY with this huge body conversion you're doing. Get some balls to back up the uniqueness and look of your car, cause let me tell ya, having a fly car and having it being slow as christ and not being able to run in ALL parts of a car show because the cars main attribute is lacking, is a disappointment for you and the people paying money to be there. I'm a Car Expo photographer and I've seen many a car owners go though that. It sucks for me, sucks for you, sucks for the show.
Get your interiour professionally prepped and repainted/clearcoated with proper plastic/vinyl paint, or it will look like ass all flaked and chipped 6mo. down the road, and i will cost you even more to get that touhed up.
Do not under any circumstances cheap out on your muffler, or get a DTM tip setup/fireball. Not the cars style. Go with something deep and throaty, use your cars displacement to its advantage. Putting a muffler suited for a 1.6L honda will sound like ass. Trust me. Cheep mufflers also sound like garbage after a few thousand Km, and tarnish, looking ever so much more ghetto. A good 2.25" catback would be great. look into a 4-2-1 header setup for your car also, the factory one is terrible, removing that bottleneck is important. Engines are an air pump, the easier yyou get the air through, the better.
Another tip, APC is NOT a car tuning or performance product company, do not buy any more of their products, or shop at Canadian Tire.
I know it takes money, but its way better to build up slowly, the PROPER way, than to rush into it and lookin like a fool (trust me, the people that KNOW cars are not gonna like a 4x4 "Sunalear" with a wing.)
I'm not trying to be an asshole or be mean, I'm purly telling it how it is and what 95% of the tuner population is thinking. You can make a great lookin j-body if you do it properly and dont feel obligated to rush it. Take your time, save up a bit more money than you have planned, and do it right the first time. You'll thank me later. |

I like J-Bodies. People play them as garbage, but I just look at it as more stuff to modify :)
Wing.. pull it and sell it to some high school honda owner.. You'd almost be able to get back waht you paid for it :D
Alot of what Benny said are totally true.
APC is not a "tuner" company; they tend to sell flashy crap. Mind you a shift knob isnt exactly such a big deal, side mirors MIGHT look ok.. wings, stickers, lights, mufflers, 5pt harnesses, etc == bad
Looking fast, and not going fast. Well, Ill leave this alone.. Im sure everyones heard enough about this
Its hard to find a decent exhaust, You cant exactly 'try them out' before ya buy.. and its hard to find sound clips of.. Hang out with one of the jbody groups around town, see what they have, ask for sound clips on diff boards, or talk to someone you trust on the matter.
Oh yea, Painting the interior.. no white, and no light blue. Those colors have been totally over done. I dont see why everyone chooses them.. good old black is awsome
some of the best looking cavi's ive ever seen had no huge body kits.. they had large wheels, and a lowered stance... This Cavi is pretty good looking I think..
So.. Make the car fast, and handle well first. Then make it look the part. Its not cheap, but you will love the results...
There was a tv show on hotrods a while ago, one of the guys in it said that "a showcar should look like it came from the factory that way". I dont see the facination with people making them look like transformers, or something out of an anime...
Edit: Another Decent cavi.. 4dr even

| Those 2 Cav pics look dope. "a showcar should look like it came from the factory that way" and I couldn't agree with this more. |

| I may be wrong, but I think those two cavi's are actually factory cars. Not production cars, but they are put out by Chev to prove that the cavi is capable of being a nice car with some power (the silver one has turbo). But all in all, two very nice cars and a great example of what aftermarket cars should look like. None of this garbage I keep seeing on the roads. |

I think my favorite cavi ever is owned by a guy on this forum. I am not sure who owns it, but I have seen it at all the events. its grey on the bottom with a black hood/roof/trunk. (If I remember correctly) However, here is a nice cavi as well. :)
