Hey i was tryin to use the search function to find this but it won't let you seach for words shorter than 4 letters so it didn't work all that well.
I am wondering if it would be worth it do build my own or just buy a CAI for my car(1993 mx-6) i know that it is a matter of opinion and also how well you build them. If the DIY way is worth it what do i need (i want a fairly professional looking install no plasic buckets or anything like I have seen some ppl do before. Also where is the best place to get them i am sure that alot of the stuff can be bought from revy or someplace like that.
And i know pretty much how to do it and i can get help from friends if needed but does anyone know a website that will kind of tell me what to do.

Fenderwell Intake!
Try that one - should return a few results on google.

Not a bad write up. Althought the guy needs to get some new tires BAD, and his overspray on his brake lines is :(

Yeah, those newer W-Body guys are pretty crafty. At least they don't have to move their battery and washer fluid resevoir,....

Finding performance parts for my 87 CRX Si that didn't cost an arm and a leg were pretty difficult. So I had to resort to the DIY methods. I went to ABC Muffler on 50 st and picked up a mandrel bent u-bend tube from them and a generic cone filter. I than hit up Home Depot's plumbing department and got three of the rubber connectors with clamps. In the end, it cost me around $100 to make the SRI/CAI. For the winter, I can shorten it and in the summer, make it a CAI. Took me around 1 hour of time to make. I sprayed it with high temp ceramic silver paint to keep it cool. Was it worth the effort, yes.

the only thing im worried about (on my setup) is if the plastic would melt or not... Its kinda close to my exhaust y-pipe :( I might have to find some of that silver heat reflective covering stuff...
