Sweet!! Was that your car James?

98Luder
Yes, my car is Mugen equiped

1_Bar
mmmm....mugen!!

Do you know if the mugen exhaust system is good for a turbo app??

98Luder
Mugen is probably not that good for Forced induction, well, it's a 60mm piping design so it's close to 2.5" piping.

I have heard the header is not bad for the SC, but i would not recommend Neuspeed, or DCsports though. I heard the Kamakazie is good...not sure if that's true or not though?

Once you get the HOndata i'd recommend a resonated test pipe too.

That sounds really good - have you done they before/after dyno? I have always wondered if they make a 4th gen. application - do they?

98Luder
They used too... i think it's discontinued now.

I'll do the before/after dyno in the spring.
I'll be doing lots of comparisons this year with my vehicle

Tsunami
yah, James' exhaust is by far the best sounding Honda I have ever heard... wish they all sounded like that and less like the lawnmower stereotype

Thats weird. Kamikazee makes the cheapest header for the QR25. ;)

98Luder
yea i know...
it has a really wierd design and the cheapest build and finish, but for some reason some ppl said it had good results with turbo.

Talk about fluking out.

Nothing that large. Something like aftermarket intake, header and JRSC. What do you think is the best exhaust for this set up if you think mugen might not be the way to go. Would also like an exhaust that is not very loud.

98Luder
Not too loud and flow good...hmm...that's a good one :)
I'm not sure which is best for FI, i remeber looking a long time ago at the Tanabe Racing medallion, it supposedly has really big piping and has a high flow characteristic, however, that one should be loud as hell.

1_Bar
agreed....Most boosted ludes are running w/ the Tanabe Hyper Medalion w/ 2.5" piping all the way around. And yess...its as loud or louder then the Apexi N1...
