I want a test pipe for my 2000 prelude SH
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT:bthumbup:

Do you want it resonated or just a straight pipe and that's it?
They are not hard to make really, any muffler shop could do it.

{ resonated or just a straight pipe } What is the defference???

[any muffler shop could do it] Not any muffler shop in Fort Mac!!!

98Luder
Actually, nevermind about any shop can do it. Cause it's illegal to get a test pipe done. Oh and the test pipe will cause a check engine light for your car.

Resonated means it has a resonator, no cat but runs through a resonator. Bascially a pipe that dampens the sound.

Test pipe just a pipe, nothng else.

Would a high flow cat be just as good & how much do they cost ???This spring i'm going hondata, so the check engine wouldn't matter. But the thing that i'm scare of is the car going to be too loud & raspey
but thanks 4 the help

If you don't wnat it too loud, i'd recommend a resonated test pipe or high flow cat(like the Carsound or Random technologies). Those would be your best bet i think.
What kinda header are you using?

redmethods
DC Sports & can u get me a price of like the Carsound or Random technologies:bthumbup:

oh sorry i got confused for a sec there..never mind.

As for the carsound cats, they usaully have no flange on the end. You'll have to buy 2 flanges one for each side, and weld it on.

The Random techs will be all done and ready to boltup.

What kinda piping you looking for? 2.25" piping or 2.5"?

2.5 piping

98Luder
this is what a resonated test pipe looks like.
It dampens the sound more so than a full out straight pipe that has no resonator.

That's what a stock integra Cat would look like, and that resonatored test pipe is a 2.5" piping, notice the beautiful welds on the new piece, and compare the difference :) I'm pretty sure once installed this thing is going to feel the difference.

can u get me a price???So pretty
thankx

That resonated test pipe i have there, is for an integra i'm not sure if there is one by that brand that is for the Prelude. I can look. Also, i just realized you said you have a DCsports header. I remeber there is a bottle neck in that header, the collector size is abut 2" i think? Pretty much the same as stock. I hve seem ppl modify those headers to work better though.

Similiar resonated test pipes like that usually go for 100bucks.
