:mad: in response to the ricer comment. there is no 'rice' traveling down the road in that vid. if anything the van was probably driven by some jealous 'ricer'. there are tons of v-dubs that are nice. there is only 1 that i have ever seen or heard of that is riced out, and they are sorta disowned by the v-dub community. those cars were badass and had nothing rice on them. :mad:.
the real ricers are those who think that their car can beat anything. and put a bunch of useless things on the car that really benefit nothing.

actually its not the drivers fault if you jaywalk, It is the drivers fault if it is a crosswalk. Also goes for you can make a left hand turn infront of anyone and if they hit your behind your passenger or driver side door line it is there fault cause you were far enough threw the intersection, alright enough of the dumb laws and rules.
Stupid stupid Mini van, but also why didn't the VW's see it sooner? like if isaw another vehicle on the track let off the gas? still stupid and No , Rice = Asian and since VW = Germany , and unless you can prove that Germany was once in Asia , VW's no matter what is done, is not really "rice" |

you are my new best friend. i heard something about how in quebec(maybe canada in general) it is the persons fault if they get hit by a car and they have to pay for damages to the car...if they can:confused: ... plus i know of a good number of honda's and acura's that have things done to them that i don't consider rice. it is all in how the car and person are, not just the fact that a sport compact car is modded that they are a ricer...oh! and i hate to say this, but there are 2 vw's that i know of that are 'riced out'. it's kinda' sad, but you can't save everyone... |

When you are racing at the track I dont think you are looking off in the distance to see if there is any "traffic" coming your way. I think other cars in your way are the least of your concerns.
Any car can be "riced." Who gives a shit where the car is manufatured, rice is a term that is used and will unfortunately probably be used for a long time yet. |

You dont get out much ... there are LOTS of small towns that organize races on runways that have been shut down. Grande Prairie does it, lots and lots of places ... |

When we first started doing our official races, we did do them on city streets, but we outlayed huge coin to block the streets in all directions including alleys with 4-foot concrete barricades so that no one could get another vehicle near the 'track' area.
We still line the 100 Footer with concrete barricades every 15 feet placed diagonally on both sides, just in case a car loses control, and the crowd is at least 50 feet behind those barricades.
We pay to have the police, fire, and ambulance in attendance as well.
No vehicle or person can be past the start line or inside of the concrete barricades, or the tree will stay red and the driver is not allowed to go.
I bet that van driver checks his blind-spot at least twice before touching his steering wheel now.
