| When I lived in DFW I bought Synergy SiCore's for 180 bucks. Here I see SiCore's for 300 bucks and nearly crap my pants! What gives! Hell, I could afford to buy a Synthesis grip for 115 bucks and a blade for 40 back home, here they are 215 bucks and blades are like 85!! I know the dollar is different, but it will end up being cheaper for me to get a friend to buy the sticks for me back home, and ship em up to me, even if I have to pay duty! |

You cant, unless you know someone who can get you cost (SiCore cost is quite high though still)
I would try NVS or Ballistik.
I just bought a Ballistik one piece a month ago and I love it. (Ballistic manufacturs for Bauer, Louisville and Easton, but sells under thier own name)
NVS is based out of Spruce Grove and they manufacture composite sticks, I have heard they are quite good.

Hrm, it lists St. Albert Sports as a retailer for NVS stuff, so maybe I'll go check that out tomorrow if they're open (are they?). But with the ballistic stuff, it lists the weight on their one-piece as 595 grams. Is this a typo, or are they weighed differently from eastons and such? Where did you get your ballistic stick? How is the durability on it? I love the feel of Sicores, but for getting together with friends @ outdoor rinks or playing in a beer league, I just can't see myself spending 300 bucks on em. Do you play in a league still?
Edit: What is the flex like on the ballistic sticks? I like the 110 stiffness eason sticks, is the stiffness rating the same on them? |

I bought the Ballistik off of their site. Mine is the 1-piece, hell curve 120 flex.
It is a bit heavy, but its durable as hell. (The weight doesnt concern me too much, its all about the flex and curve) If I had to do it over again, I would go with the 105 flex. The 120 is a bit tempermental sometimes.
Right now, I play mens hockey, as well as coach. |
