Stolen car alert - Click HERE for Original Thread

Kobe Tai
Someone decided to steal my 93 Civic Coupe last night. It is a 93 white SI with a c/f hood. The fuckers somehow got around the alarm. If everyone could keep a look out for some parts I would really appreciate.
Stuff that might be for sale in the next little while:

-B16A2 engine (has red (painted) valve cover and a fuel pressure gauge/regulator)

-DC Sports 4-2-1 header (has small dents at bottom)

-ITR b-pipe+muffler+T1R test pipe (b-pipe has a 2" section welded in near resonator)

-koni yellows/neuspeed race springs+front/rear sway bars+generic blue in color strut tower bar

-Wings West RS sideskirts (white in color) and big mouth front bumper

-Momo Race steering wheel (300mm black with yellow accents, suede is sorta worn)

-Hurst short shifter (blue in color with razo shiftknob)

-Alpine deck/6 CD changer and a Soundstream 5 channel amp+Focal tweeters

-15" gunmetal Rota Slipstreams with some all season tires

I'm sorta choked so if anyone comes across any of this stuff let me know. Thanks. Tom

Sorry but that is a load of bullshit. what is your source on that info??

Keith303

ive seen your car at BP's, last year. It was really nice, sorry to hear :(

What do you look like so that we know its NOT you driving it in the next couple of days.

I see that car often. I"ll keep my eyes peeled.

Police told my buddy when his was stolen that almost all cars are found again. But in your case, I have a funny feeling that they are going to part it out, because they would be dumb to drive it around town.

Yeah check out Millwoods. Thats where they found my buddies 4runner being driven around, and it was stolen from Heritage mall too.

Kobe Tai
I have a feeling that it's heading for the chop shop. My coworker saw the car heading west on whitemud about 30 min to 1 hour after it was stolen. He tried to catch up but the guy took off. Still hoping that it's found but I'm sorta doubting that. All I know is my next car is gonna look 100% stock on the outside.

Kobe Tai
Oh - and I'm a skinny white guy with glasses

hahah i was thinkin the same, if i caught somee guy, i would be like whats your name, and if it was a friend who stole it, they would say Tom, and i would let them go on their way.

I see your car at least once a day on a regular basis parked on calgary trail and whyte or just driving around. If I see it around I will for sure pass on some info. This must really suck for you I feel so bad, that car was unique.

colossus
Chances' are it might just be some teenage joyriders, amateur thieves. How the heck did they get around your alarm? Was it on? Sorry for your loss, I hope you catch the bastards!

OK, I don't know every government office and department, but I've never heard of a provincial auto theft department. :dunno:

I think your statement is BS too, but if he had a decent alarm and they got around it, you'd have to think it was someone who knew what they were doing and not just kids out for a joy ride.

Good luck with the search.

A friend of mine had her car stolen over by the university before christmas. They caught 4 guys driving around in it like 5 days after they stole it......and it was a couple blocks from where they took it. The guy driving lived around their....how stupid is that.

Sorry to hear about that, my SS was stolen in the summer, cought the guys driving it around in Silvin lake the next day.

There is no provincial auto theft department, called someone that answers directly to the minister of alberta, she said never has and never will be a provincial auto theft department, its called the police.

And hate to tell you this, but alarms suck and are worthless. anyone with the internet and a bit of time can get ways to go around every alarm out there, and if your even a weekend installer its even easier. I knew a repo man that could tell the alarm from the warning beep, and have it disabled as fast as the remote could do it. even the guys that though they would be fancy and run wires in the frame and give the alarm its own battery, jsut took him a few seconds.

make a kill switch directly to the starter, and put it somewhere stupid, or one of your heat knobs push in to press the switch kinda thing.

And really, I dont think you want it back, the term "drive like you stole is" is out there for a reason. Just get insurance to cut you a check, and always ask for more then what the first offer is, I got 5 grand more then thier first offer when my SS was writen off.
