Anyone ever heard of a M3U Audio file? If so, what is it and how can I convert M3U to WMA or MP3? If you can't tell me straight up, then can you please provide a link or somethin? Thanks all.

from my searching it is pretty much the same thing as mp3. are you having trouble laying it? you could try changing the file extension to mp3 instead and see if that makes a difference.

and here is a link

just remember google is your friend

I tried searching google. But anyways, I want something that can convert M3U to WMA. My C.D. burner won't burn M3U files and make them work in my c.d. player. So I need a convertor of some kind. Also, I can't view that one link, my Acrobat Reader is fucked up until I get a update or some shit which should be soon hopefully....

I read something about mpu being a playlist option for mp3. have you tried to change the extension from mpu to mp3
you may not need a converter program

How do you change the extension? You can't just click on it and call it an MP3... :dunno:

Z3r03rr0r
right click, properties and change the extension, if you want you can email me one of the files and I can see what it will take to do this. as well what OS are you using

This M3U file is 161 bytes, I'm not sure how many mega bytes that is.

Z3r03rr0r: I'm using Windows XP

Z3r03rr0r
161 bytes = .0161 MB
so probably is just a playlist as it would be much to small to be a music file

Damn. Thanks for all the help guys!

I acually have another question. If the M3U is a playlist file, what is a CFM file? Is this file convertable to a MP3 or WMA file? Thanks all.

Z3r03rr0r
here is a link http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=CFM
apparently it could be one of 3 things none of which could be converted to wma

Mekanik22
Damn. Thanks for that link.
