I was just gunna get ready and go for work at 2:50 I walk into my garage, notice it is in a bigger mess than i left it in.
Ignored it, thought it was my bro. Open my car door, notice that my car is really messy, and it never is. Notice my radar detector was thrown and my books and glove box was messed around with, deck is gone, and some xbox controller and games, cause i had a halo match at my buddies place.
Fucking theives, now gotta wait for the cops to come.
they are lucky they didnt get caught by me:mad:
it seems like it was a young kids or something cause they didnt take my exhaust just messed around with my tools and took my xbox shit and deck. |

I sure don't ever recall cops willing to go to a crime scene (ie car broken into, stuff stolen from car, etc.); all I ever got was to go to the cop station and file a report and that was the END of it!
Sounds like you didn't at least lock your doors? |

Damn man - that's the one place your car should be safe.
Perhaps you should wire up an alarm for the garage with an audible siren? Isn't that hard - and would definetely stop it from happening again (Because the theives might target you again if they think you'll replace the stuff) |

trevorK what would be the easiest way to setup an audible alarm?
i guess you could have a motion detector wired to a siren, and turn the sensor on/off with a switch when you go in for the night, but that's not very smart, unless you hid the switch.
sam that's my biggest fear man, between my dvd player, vafc deck and amps I have over $3000 in electronics just sittin there, our garage got broken into like 2 weeks ago, but I was luckily at my gf's and my car wasn't in there, but now I'm fuckin worried. |

I saw my buddy set one up - he used an old home security system, so he had the trip sensor on the door, the window sensor, the keypad, etc.... Really cool stuff.
All you really need is a trip sensor though for the door - which shouldn't be hard at all. You could even rig up a remote without much work either so you could arm/disarm it like a car alarm - either that or get a keypad. Very easy to find if you know the right people because businesses upgrade all the time. |

I was gonna ask the same thing....how did they get in the garage.
Man when your car isnt even safe in the garage.
Our garage is attached to the house, plus we have a dog....she isnt the biggest by no means but she hears everything and if someone was in the garage she would let us know. |

Things like this it always has to be someone you know, most of the time. |
