| I believe of the listed cars...the Z06 provides the most performance per dollar (straight line AND corners) |

Well, I agree the 'Vette is probably your best bet, but I just can't get over the new front end - I don't like it:dunno:
So I voted SVT, but I'd take a TT 350Z anyday, as well!

| The Vette ofcourse. Most of the cars in the list don't even come close to the Vette. |
|

| colossus |
| Wow, I'm very suprised at the results! I picked the Z4. For me the corvette has no mystique and the interior is very GM-style i.e. crappy and cheap. |

Well the Vette is easily the best performing car, although if it hadn't been the 350z Roadster and had been the hardtop I would have gone for that. Convertibles are for women and fancy boys.

| Out of those id have to take the NSX, but there is one that you missed. Dodge Viper SRT10. I have never been a huge fan of Vipers, but when i was in florida a week ago, i got to drive the hell out of one at a Skip Barber Racing School in Sebring. One word, torque......... They were in every way nicer than a Corvette (i have driven a C5), and the gobs of power is just too much to argue with for me. Well, wait....who am i kidding, NSX, im an import guy, sorry....lol |
|
|
| JamesDeane |
Corvette is probably the best bang for your buck
considering you get 405hp for what like 65000?
NSX is what like 100 grand and its only got 275 horse
usually I dont like domestics but this is one of the exceptions |

A Z06, on a race course? |

| i choose the rx-8 even though there are faster cars on the list but i seen one last night and omg they are off the hock. |
|
|
| ehos |
I'd take the NSX.
Sell it get the Vette, pocket the rest.
But come one, face reality, we would take ANY of those cars, hell, I'd take just about any car for free :)
But buying, my own hard earned money, I'd go with the 350Z (cause I couldn't afford the NSX/Vette). |

I suppose I will restate that. Cars that come with a hartop and they make a covertible version of it, they made it for women and fancy boys.

I want to know who the other person is that voted for the mustang.
Seriously though, ever since my Dad had his '72 351C I've been a mustang lover. It started when I was 4. I will always love mustangs, and I probably always will. That doesn't mean, you know, if someone came up and offered me one of those cars I wouldn't pick the NSX or something (there's some big price differences there) but if it was my own money I'd have to go with good ol' mustang. |
|
|
| s2oooR |
nsx is more like 150 000, the last time i checked a couple or so years ago......it must be more now :dunno:
4 votes now for the S2000? Who else voted for that car?? :p |

| It is funny how the 2 most popular cars in this list are the most expensive (by a big margin) car listed and the second most expensive car listed. These cars aren't exactly in the same class at all. I'm willing to bet that no one who is looking at an NSX is planning on stopping by the Mazda dealership to drive an RX8. |

| Two words, Twin Turbo, a 350 with the tiwn turbo kit on it would be amazing, it may not be as fast as the z06 but i had the joys of driving a friends 350 and i fell in love, i'd take the Z over anything anyday |

I have been in a Z06, and driven a C5, the viper stomps em both in acceleration and i wouldnt doubt at handling as well. |

The the Z06 is a c5. anyhow the accelleration difference for 0-60 is like .1 seconds dude, and the z06 definately handles better. Just because the viper drives rougher doesnt mean its a better faster sportier car. |
|
|
| CanadianSkyline |
I meant regular C5 with 345 horse. And i ask you this, have u driven both, no, i didnt think so. The Viper pulls harder than the Z06 no doubt about it, and handles better, dont pull facts out of your ass next time, alright.....
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests..._vv/index3.html
Read the last paragraph of that page and the first of the next page, apparently half a second in a 0 - 60 time isnt getting stomped.....according to you. |

| I liked the S2000... even though my automotive tastes are complete eurotrash, BMW's just don't do much for me. |
|
|
| GeoffDonk |
i didnt talk out of my ass, i just read a similar artical a while ago. The just of it was for the money, the vette was your better bet. It said the viper had a rougher feel to it, but also not as nice handling. I also downloaded a video where professionals tested the mustang GT, corvette, and viper. The viper came out on top on the drag, the vette had lower track lap times, and the mustang was useless :D.
Anyhow, what it comes down to in my mind is with the 50 grand difference (or whatever it is) between the z06 and the viper, you could make the vette way the fuck faster than the viper. |
