A business degree or certificate usually doesn't amount to potatoes unfortunately unless you specialize in a profession i.e. Accounting, finance.

If you have the marks and are interested aim high and become a doctor, if you become another profession i.e. nurse, physio, pharm, lawyer, engineer that's cool too. But don't go into university or college without a clear picture of what you want in your future. Too many kids graduate with no clear idea, and high hopes only to realize the world can be a tough place. TV and the media give the impression that getting rich is easy.. nothing could be further from the truth. Remember they say that 2% of the population controls 80% of the wealth. Most ppl settle for being mediocre/middle of the road, and that's ok too.

HOORAY FOR MEDIOCRITY!!!!

This is all true though. I went to school for a profession purely based on what I was told I would be making when I came out of school. Alas these numbers were skewed and to make them you had to live like a damn nomad all over Northern Alberta. I'm now back at school doing schooling for what I love and know will be a great career. Although I will not be making that much money, I will enjoy life far more than if I'd stayed with the first impulsive grab for the big cash. If it all turns out how I hope, eventually I will be driving and evaluating some of the best vehicles ever made.
