NAIT parking pass - Click HERE for Original Thread

2003specv
Anyone want to sell me their parking pass at NAIT for March/April?

I know it's a long shot but I'd rather do this than carry loonies around for the parking there.

If you already have a parking pass for another zone, you can park in the "teacher's parkade" (Zone B, I think). Just turn the pass around on your dash, so that the 'legal' portion is facing outwards.:fingersx:

That's what I do when I get to school too late for the stupid Muni bus.

Us staff actually get a sticker to put on our windsheild in the parkade (At least that's what I have gotten the past three times I went in to get another parking pass). We get the first 7 levels I believe as well (I never have to go past the 2nd level to get parking, but that's the way it was when I went there).

That being said - I don't think the parkade rules are that enforced in the parkade. When I was a student I'd forget to put up my pass once in awhile with no reprecussions. However, I have a certian spot I usually take every day and if I see a student car there you will get a ticket ;)

Remember however, if you get caught you will get a City Of Edmonton ticket (Just as if you parked in front of the business tower).

You could talk nice to a staff member about getting a parking pass....That whole parking at the Muni thing must suck - what if you get out at 1pm, don't ya haveto walk to your car?

And remember, there are a couple spots around NAIT for free parking. I have no idea how soon until they get taken, but there's room for 20-50 cars around NAIT in free parking zones....

Oh, don't get me started on the Muni shuttle service. A large portion of my classes this semester are all work periods. If I make the final 9:00am bus, I still have to wait two hours for my group members. Then, we usually complete our tasks before the bus begins again at 2:30pm. I can't believe I paid to be insulted like that:rolleyes:

If I'm in the parking office fixing something, I love the look on a student's face when they're told about the parking situation.

They walk right in, ready to buy a pass. Then walk away with the paper describing the Muni parking and then try to find one off campus.

There is a house, the one of the corner of 118th and "Nait Way" that I believe sells parking. Just look at his backyard - it's designed for a parking lot. You could always try him.....And I know there's more (Like the curling club, the church, etc....).

Well last year, I lucked out. My welding teacher lived just behind the church on the corner, I parked behind his house for the whole 2 months :D. He sold the house though so I don't know how the new owner works out the parking thing. I'd feel funny walking up and being all like, "Hi, you don't know me, but could I rent out a spot behind your house for 2 months?"

Actualy, thats a good idea. I think I'll go do that now.

Haha! I just did that ^^^

The guy is renting me a spot for 2 months for $45 a month!!! Thats almost half price from paying $3 a day, plus my spot is reserved so no wondering if I'll find a spot. SCORE!!!! He has a few more if anyone wants to park behind the church parking lot. PM me for the guys number.

If I ever buy a house near NAIT that's exactly what I'll be doing. It's free money.

that kinda sucks dude.. i got my parking pass for the parkade for $80. got it on reading week, and its good till the end of the semester :)

remember if u bring in a note from your employer, or if u have any other special circumstances you get to be on the special list.

I applied super late, and i got a spot

Most people with special circumstances/carpooling get in.

Letter from employer works, as well as if you live out of town, have kids to take care of, etc....

Or if you sweet talk one of the girls there.
