I'm surprised it happened so soon. I was expecting Salo to get traded but I didn't expect it until after the playoffs. And of all teams to send him to, it had to be a conference rival.:dunno:

| It was a smart move on the Oilers half. Tommy Salo was starting to get a bit weak and was way to much money-$4 Million. We just got a 6th round draft pick for him, but we saved a lot of cash. |

| This was a good move for the Oilers, Salo really hasn't been playing that well lately anyways, and this will save them some money next year since they weren't planning on picking up the option on his contract. Besides Jussi has much better stats this year, and that was on a team that had worst defense than the Oilers. |
