Well, the bad guys had developed a new version of Cocaine, right? But, throughout the movie, they kept referring to it as "the new Coke". At one point, they talked about how it was sweeter and the general public was going to love it better than the old "Classic Coke".
As a person who lived through the disastrous introduction of the "new" Coca-Cola, I recognized a whole bunch of the ad slogans and what-not. I was laughing my a$$ off about the underlying joke. |

Ahhhhh. I was honestly too young to really understand the whole New Coke fiasco. I remember that it happened, but I had no clue what it was about. I suppose this is the same reason that I never saw the original Starsky and Hutch, so I wasn't sure if the show was a comedy.

There were so many little underlying things,b ut that was probably the best. My Marketing teachers always used the "The NEW Coke" disaster as examples, etc. Plus I'm a bit of a '70s buff.

I thought it was a great movie as well........:bthumbup:

Did you see at the end when the stunt guy was doing a rockford and slammed the Grand Turino into a cop car.
Also when they jumped the car at the end, the frame was twisting in the car. |
