damn, poeple are getting lazy, pick up the phone book, and find the insurance companies, and start calling. write down every quote, at the end of the day phone the one with the lowest quote back.
Just cause one is cheap for one person it doens mean it will for another, if your parents are insured at the same place you usually get a little better price.
but really, anyone that jsut got there licnece is going to pay huge.
"do it right the first time"
what does that mean?
insurance is insurance, if something happens it becomes a contract dispute, read and understand what you are signing.
ING is the largest insurance underwriter. |

| Amir i called all the insurance companies in the city, i asked them quotes if my rents were gunna switch to. Thats the best way to do it, I was told drivers ed with my first ins company would not affect me at all.... |

and if I have a technical question I sure as hell dont post it on here.
Also, when I got my insurance the discount that I got from drivers ed was 500 a year... about what I paid for hte course |

| I am currently with AMA and have thier membership and training... they I'm still paying 4400/yr for damn insurance and its not even under my name I'm the third driver for the third car since I started driving in October 2002 and had insurance with them since then. BTW this is liability only and a nice clean record with one claim for theft |

| i think if you're young without much driving experience, it'll be expensive regardless where you go. if you can go under your parents...that's the cheapest. i go to TD Meloche Monnex, but that's coz i'm 25, have a spotless record since i was 16, so i have a low rate....but if that is not your case, you'll have to just call around. |

| whether i get insurance now or whether i get it when im seventeen in 4 months or even next year its still gonna be high and im still gonna have to get it on my own. so im like might as well start now.:dunno: |

seriously man, unless you live outa town or something, either insure the car under your parents and go on as an occasional driver or take the bus.
unless you have way too much money.
your gonna get 4000-10000 quotes from everyone you talk to, and its not the brokers fault, its the companies who write the insurance.
and the longer you have your license, the more your insurance goes down... it definitely helps if you have insurance history, but thats where going as an occasional driver helps out. |
