| so what are the common repairs that occur with this gen? i hear that there were problems with the timing belt and the brakes were most common, im not sure if thats true or not. are there any other ones that are worth mentioning? thanks |

lifters are one of the problems with the ka24e engines.
its makes a little ticking nose and its cost a whole 700+ labour to get that fixed. |

ya ive been readin a lot about that noise, and from what ive read pretty much all 240's have the problem, even some other nissans as well.
on a side note i found out that my insurance rate will stay the same if i insure a 240 :), so anyone know of any for sale? |

HELL/FCUK/A$$....I HATE THAT NOISE!!! Everytime I pull up to a light all I can hear is CLICK CLICK TICK GRICK CLICK...So FCUKIN ANOYYING. I did all the work and replaced it once and 3 months later guess what happened. I was SO MAD. So In one week when I get out of school, the sentra will be going under the knife and this time I got a FLIPPIN metal one not some gay a$$ plastic piece of sh!t. Wish me luck.:fingersx: |

| It's bad, but i think mine is a little worse than others. I think it is the timing tensioner that is my problem |

| I've a 90 and apparently a common problem with them is that the timing tensioners go, and then the timing chain goes through the oil pan cover, which is a big mess. My frame needs work :( and underneath the spoiler is pretty much a big rusted through mess. And the clicking!! I've got that too, we though we screwed up somewhere when we were working on the engine! |
