| I know the Type M has an LSD and possibly bigger brakes. |

and stiffer suspension along with a few other optional pieces like the adjusting front spoiler.
THe biggest things I can think of off the top of my head right now are the LSD, stiffer suspension, and some trim.
It's like the Acura TL vs TL Type S. |

| Limited Slip Differential. instead of one wheels gripping the road both wheels spin. this is used in drifting |

A little bit of a difference, but for the benefits I think it's more than worth the extra cash. |

| oh no doubt ....I was just being sarcastic though ......personally I would take a gtst type M over a regular or GTR anyday ......I have no use for that kind of machine and agree on typeM > non typeM |

| its no question if your not getting type M to save coin then your making a huge mistake, go pay someone to put in an lsd after you start drifting ( because you will need one) thats not something i want to do a couple of months after i buy a skyline |

| it also eliminates torque steer, and is good for any kind of racing that involves going in more than a straight line (does wonders for the srt-4) |

| I could have used that in my fwd talon ....that thing had huge torque oversteer ....it almost got me in trouble many times |

| torque steer???isn't a gts-t rear wheel drive??? |

Yes it is, I'm a little perplexed as to that comment myself. For the extra $1,000 or so for the added extras of the Type M I think it's more than worth it. A good LSD will run you at least $1000 by itself, a few hundred for suspension, another $800 or so for the upgraded brakes, $1500 for the stronger transmission. Add all the extras up and that $4000 or so just for the basic upgrades looks a little daunting.

P.S. I'm not saying the regular GTS-T is bad or slow by any means, but if I'm going to drive a light RWD turbo car when the weather isn't so favorable, I definitely will appreciate those extras. |

| do all type-m come with aero kit and HICAS? |
| StraightSix |
All come with HICAS, not all come with aero kit. The front bumper is different between regular GTS-t and a Type-M though, even without the aero kit.

| what company makes a kit to eliminate the HICAS? |
| rd_man |
| you csn jsut unplug it. its cheaper and does the same thing, tomei has a kit but at this point for what it does its not worth the 150+ dollars when unplugging it does basically the same thingIMO. In reality you dont need to eliminiate the hicas even for drifting, if you got enough speed you wont be able to tell the difference, ive experienced both, most people blow it out of proportion, the main drawback is the added 40kg of usless weight, which is still there even if you get the eliminator kit |

| Its also my understanding that the Type M's have the nicer (round style tail lights) while the normal GTS-T's have the uglier ones (one piece style, not the same color as the car). Can anyone confirm this 100 percent?? |
| redbaron303 |
| From what I've seen I believe it's the uber base model GTS's that got those fugly taillights... mind you there is lots of swapping of lights that goes on in Japan :) |
| DeathBy240 |
| From what I have seen it is the N/A GTS's that have the "ugly" tail lights. |
| rd_man |
| i beleive the four doors got those fugly tailights |
