Good Day Gents,
As you all know im retreating to Calgary this weekend (leaving here on Sat.) to make a couple modifications to the sunfire.....Just as an update, i will elt you guys in :bthumbup:
first of all my M3 mirrors are getting painted silver, boy, these units have been waiting since summer to be painted silver, and they will be back on the car tomorrow (Thurs) and then off to the C-Dot to get some stuff done.
Let me just say that Saturday will be a big day...I have lots of running around to do, lots of lil things to complete, and then as the sun rises on Sunday my car will have...

Thats right, i got a turbocharger for my car, for those J-body owners that are interested in turbos the kit is from www.cavalierconnection.com, and my kit can be seen there.
Everything is going into the car sometime next week. I have everything for the kit except an intercooler, (will be on its way in about a months time, maybe less depending on how well my birthday goes :p )
So as of next week i am SLVRBLU 2.2T |

ah turbo... unfortunately for me i could only run low pressure with a bolt on system. (5-7psi)
looking for a full boost engine/car that can run around 18 when modded.
hope you enjoy your newfound boost :bowdown:

HAH not if i wanna have an engine, remember carbonfire, our cars are basically made with snap-on parts...
im gonna run about 6psi....on stock internals....once i get an intercooler and some other mods i will kick it up to 9 maybe 10 psi......my car will be running at about 205-210 hp on 6 psi, when i get it up to 9 psi it will be pushing around 235+with the psi at 9 and plus the other mods, we will just have to wait and see!!!
torque i am not too so, i will have to get the dyno for that....i just know that from the previous people who have this kit that i have talked to, the torque gains are incredible. my buddy has a 2004 rsx type s and his turbo in his cav pulls way way harder....so we shall see :bthumbup: |

| daximus, i actually started to tear my old 2.4 down today and am gonna build it for boost. im gonna run probably 10-15 psi and not have any problems. what are you doing so your tranny can handle the extra power cause you got a 5 spd dont you? |

| It's so small, and it seems like half the bolts were metric and half were standard (OK they probably actually weren't but the metric drivers fit some of those bolts better haha). Where we tapped for the oil feed on the block was way in the back and buried under a pile of shit, not only that but the stopper 'bolt' that was in there now has a weird shaped head (circular outside, big ass square indent in the middle) and we couldn't find a tool anywhere meant to take it out. Luckily Dax made a tool out fo some old socket driver parts, and allen keys and got that bitch out at like 2AM :lol: I'm just biased becuase I'm used to working on things with bigger engine bays though and my Japanese cars seems to be alot easier to work on then the fire so don't take my opinion too seriously. There is currently a coolant leak on Dax's fire that he is working out. Ask him why tub and tile sealant isn;t meant for the engine next time you talk to that hurt case hahaha :lol: Good times. |
